It’s not that it’s complete dealbreaker. I manage network shares on my own via fstab and it’s fine, just not very user friendly.
Besides, what do you mean no fractional scaling? It’s supported since 6.0 and improved significantly since then with more improvements to come. Even Firefox now handles it very well (in my use). I have good time even with weird scaling factors like 180%, 155% etc

I really wish they replaced KIO with something new or make it actually mount network shares similar to gvfs, this is ridiculous it’s still like that after all those years

Exactly this, I have smoked for years and absolutely HATED that I smoke. It’s a blessing to be non-smoker.

The pro-smoking arguments are usually really dumb like “it’s for socializing” or “helps me release stress” or “allowing me to have a break” - all rubbish and can be debunked in seconds

I’m not saying the market won’t grow, yes, there’s a lot of traction lately, but it’s blown out of proportions within the Linux bubble. I still don’t see mass adoption and everyone switching over from windows just yet. Especially not within a single year. Perhaps 2030s will be the decade of the Linux on desktop, who knows.

YOTLD won’t ever happen, but getting NVIDIA drivers in order for seamless experience will definitely increase user base. It might only happen when Nova/Nouveau+NVK are mature enough to take over.

I only decided to agree to an automated interview once and it wasn’t worth it. First there was just knowledge test in form of quiz, which after completing with decent result they invited me to second stage and it required me to read a question in 10s and then record my response from webcam in 30s. It was cringe af and I hated it, but decided to just swallow it at that point. Then they invited me to 3rd stage. When I learned that it’s also automated and involves webcam I said thank you. No more. If it was just the initial quiz I'd think they’re smart to filter out people who lie in resume, but 3 stages and I can’t still talk to a human - no thanks.
