human garbage

  • I wish him getting frequently egged in public.

  • Better safe than fucked up so check in with a psychologist.

  • In the 90s media were completely uncut though, especially their coverage of the first Chechen war. Some openly satyrized Yeltsin and he was kinda ok with it. Toying the line started with overtaking НТВ under Putin, the major divide between pro and anti-state stances and publications then happened around demonstrations in early 2010s, and in the end of the decade the latter started to be pushed out until ouright bans and suppression in 2022-.

There were, like, some guidelines, but when coffins of young boys started to arrive in droves and people protested against the war, print media was there to cover it, and this better-to-be-forgotten page of our history is now set in stone and I occasionally see publications from that period, no way to purge them all. Compare it to today, when mothers' union not against war, but for better treatment of their sons got quietly put down, and the existing media are just a surrogate tightly governed by statesmen.

On the initial question about Yeltsin vs Trump, it's hard for me to compare them for their context is inescapably different. Boris was, like, the first real elected pres, and a populist at that, and while Trump is tasked with just not fucking things too much, Yeltsin took a wheel in a harsh transitional period. And as two populists they share a lot of what makes their public image. But, call it naive and biased, Yeltsin sounded humble and honest when he talked about what he does, like he believed in it. It felt like he cared, but was a wrong person to be there from the very start, and drunk himself to death some eight years after passing the wheel to Putin being still influenced by that. With Don getting prezzed in after neolibs Obama then Biden and actually doing worse than if he did nothing at all, with empty waving like with the wall on the Mexican border, I perceive him significantly worse, more dishonest than Boris. Even knowing now that two were deeply pocketed by oligarchs (first time, eh?), I'm still find some sympathy towards our drunkie and find some personality and struggle within him, that I can't say I see in Trump.

  • After the ability to bring them up got taken away by the big capital.

  • Wait for Truppet to declare taxes on EU cars or something.

  • Around three days. No drugs, just showers and energy drinks I took sip by sip for a long time. I was somehow productive, but caught my attention stuck a couple of times on something banal like a working microwave buzz. Everything felt dull and I seemingly had no emotions near the end.

  • It feels basic but it gets the work done. As long as you don't need a complex array of effects and graphics, it fits. Most of simple amateur video needs are easily covered.

  • These shoelaces tortured a human being.

  • You and you being so nice made me switch to ad hominem faster than usual! How the person like you can be so terribly pleasant? Treat yourself, you fellow lemming.

  • I remember 1$=30₱ until we repeatedly shoot ourselves in a leg and felt that low our currency became toxic even to our eastern 'partners'. I don't feel like I'm that big of a dreamer, but those who still gamble on that are.

  • Hehe.

Thank you, I've updated the post body.

Please updoot another commenter who sent it first instead. And, also, take a long look at the issue as it's hilarious too. Just like theirs, my laptop would try to update every reboot and cancel it seeing less than 40% battery because the battery is, well, long dead and the laptop is plugged into a wall socket all the time. Once a safeguard against idiots it grew idiotic itself.

  • Valve made it super convinient for their customers and they also took steps to encourage content creation with SFM, Source Engine, sharing their own assets. They created working cloud saving and mod sharing solutions, greenlighting a bunch of indies based on votes and being on the side of the customer in disputes over refunds with 2hr rule becomingthe new norm. For years, they provided and improved their service, so it's rare to see anyone complaining about that.

Ah, and Epic killed UT4 in beta when they found their initial zombie game mode that became Fortnite gave them that much cash they could start their own marketplace with regular giveaways and exclusives going on for years. I'm fucking pissed at them for that even now. It is irrational and personal, but Valve didn't kill my favorite game series, it's the opposite, since they kept slowly releasing and constantly updating Dota, CS, create Alyx, keep TF2 alive, and I'm only sad Alien Swarm would never see new content. In game studios and game marketplaces, Valve are golden.

But coming back to your initial displeasment with them, the funny thing is a lot of Steam games don't need Steam to launch. Unless devs implement some hooks and DRMs themselves, you can just launch their EXE file. Nobody really checks that, but that's the truth, and I've seen some lists of games that don't do that. On top of that, 99% offline games can be launched without internet with Steam only, you can even backup and then install some game on your PC offline if your client knows you own it. And don't forget family sharing - although they promised to rework it, I, my partner and our friends used it a lot, and although you can't use a game from a shared library when you are offline, if the owner plays it offline you can play it too at the same time without messing with each others' gameplay. This lazy implementation of DRM with many workarounds and general respect to even the sleakiest, cheating customer is why I still buy games there.

Where are handles and stopper you can kill yourself with while sliding? Where's the Hole in the end, the one you feed bad kids to (and it starts to call you 'tovarish' at some point)? Where's someone's dad (also from CheKa) who takes kids out and never returns them.

You can do better Leutenant Squid. That's said, I forgive you. But you'd not like to know the lenght my tolerance can go.

  • I don't know what's скороварка on English, I guess it's an easy rice cooking and heating device that can be set on timer. Buy one, then disassemble it and see where heating elements of that thing are. Tape them on you hard drives, better if they are SSDs, set the timer, put it into a wall socket and leave. If you are of adventurous kind, do the same with microwave's transmitter, pointing it out of the box, but be cautious as fuck because this shit can cook your balls or head in seconds.

    or, better yet

You know that most MBs have special contacts for power\reset buttons? You can do two circles to them, one is for you to power up the system normally from some secret button and one from a normal button is to trigger some funsies with things easily triggered by current or heat, like dry gunpowder. So when some ABC agent would try to power up your machine, some funny thing occurs.

and if you are worried about it being disassembled in their lab, print big stickers that stick components to their slots, like OEM fuckers do, and then put cheap razorblades under them near the edge of said stickers. That's a lifehack nazis and then punks used to deny their posters from getting easily ripped off.
