"The chute that she slid down didn't go straight down, so we couldn't pull her straight up," Watts said.
She had to form an 'S' shape, with her legs to one side, then the other.
"Once we got her hips out, then we had to move her legs back around to the left-hand side to get her shoulder out. So, it was a bit of a maneuver to get all of her out of that little crevice."
Terrifying. I know it's insensitive, but I can't help but think of Junji Ito's Amigara Fault. The article says she stayed strangely calm the whole time, but I can't imagine how.
“If you’re going to use an LLM to write me an email, I’d much rather you just send me the prompt; at least then I’d have an idea of what you actually meant to say.”
This would solve so many problems with my manager. He has Copilot write his emails from prompts, and is frequently sending clarifications because nobody could tell what exactly he was trying to say.
Meanwhile my emails are so short he has told me I should be using AI to make them sound friendlier. Yet nobody ever needs clarification from me because I put only the exact words needed to convey my intent.
Yeah, this wasn't someone on the way out with nothing to lose. This was a kid who just won a $10,000 scholarship and could very well have it pulled for this. Very brave.
I checked out their feed since I figured I must have missed a big burst of bad content, but I don't see anything misandrist. I see a few posts critical of certain men, but even that's the minority of content.
Even going through comments I see only a healthy amount of misandry. I don't see any organizing of violence against all men, or even normalizing of it.
If you're feeling triggered by the things you see in a space meant for an oppressed class to vent then I think you're just too sensitive.
I wonder if these were an inspiration for the show Common Side Effects. Among other things, the mushrooms in the show result in everyone seeing tiny little people.
Impressive. I love seeing all the progress on Godot even if I might not use specific features like this.
