  • Looking at NVIDIA at least, a significant portion of that "American" IP is European PhD students developing IP for billionaire companies. I imagine the same happens elsewhere too.

  • Welcome to the year of 1000% margins boys. Not just because of this, but, given the general trend, can we start polishing the guillotines or we need to reach sodomy before we say enough?

  • The more you buy, the more instability, you save!

  • There's story videos now, dafuq...

  • This guy fucks!

  • Follow him on nebula. It's a nice platform afaik, and remunerates content creators better.

  • It's not even skill, it's laziness and pride. The game has a quest tracker (limited to 3 concurrent quests) and also tracks quest characters. It's just sheer utter laziness and refusal to read anything beyond a sentence and the hubris to think that if they are stuck, it's the game's problem, the issue is never them, they are never to blame for any shortcoming or inadequacy. That's why they mentioned Avowed, it's as deprived of any actual interactivity as it can be. It's completely a fantasy on rails shooter. It's basically a mobile game sold on steam for 70€.

  • Corbyn was an ostensive victim of character assassination because some of his progressive labour protection policies we're a bit to good, they might make the people actually vote for him. He was removed from the party in one of the dirtiest campaigns I've seen to date. Fast forward to today and we see the result, the UK is fast moving to general "right to work" à lá USA, abandoning any pretense of being a civilised country.

  • That was exactly the reason, it was factual that simplicity played a massive role in this discussion. The game has quest tracking but it's limited to 3 active quests. It also has an extensive quest log. Rather than calling out their obvious incapability of reading a sentence, I opted to direct them towards games more geared to the effort they are ostensibly willing to put into a game. The fact them and their alt/cronies turned this into a brigade, should inform anyone what is the level of human being we're dealing with here. Victimhood olympics, the US merican specials. Hasan Minaj put it better than I ever will be able to. Anything for fake sympathy points.

  • So, reddit...

  • Headline in a couple of years:

Open AI's Cop GPT opens fire on an unsuspecting black family visiting texas from Georgia. Sam Altman claims auto pilot disengaged 1ms before the trigger was pressed so it's the fault of the soldier holding the abort button.

  • George is a veritable treasure. Highly recommend his videos on Pentiment.

  • Most people's behaviours make them indistinguishable from cattle. Not to diminish them, just that, for the most part, you're bound to think, live and express yourself locally. That makes you extremely easy to manipulate, especially when nowadays there are unthinkable amounts of data being collected on you at every given time. This, in turn, makes psycho history more a concept of the current reality than a fictional scientific discovery. I.e. the role of Cambridge analytica and Steve Bannon during the Brexit campaign. If these idiots can influence a country like the UK, against their best interest, what makes you think that the exact same strategy is not being employed on us at any moment in time, to maximise capital extraction? The proof is in the pudding. The last decade saw the largest transfer of wealth from the general populace to the 1%. We're basically suffering the consequences of 3 generations of functional regards.

  • I feel your pain fellow SFF enthusiast. I did my homework this time though, and that's why I paid a bit above MSRP but it did take a bit of attention and careful planning, including dedication to snatch a fitting model from the claws of the scalpers. All in all I paid roughly 110% MSRP for a nice custom model. Also, the Louqe Raw S1 is just an absolutely amazing sff if you don't have special requirements for storage space.

  • Xtx for 900$ last year is a helluva good deal. You're not missing out, with the added bonus you can load some hefty LLMs with that massive VRAM for consumer GPU standards, while paying a fraction of the only other worthy competitor, the 4090. Kudos

  • I can see some 5080s in the same picture. They can gtfo with those ridiculous prices. I got my 9070xt at close to MSRP, little more than 1/3 of local 5080 prices for 85-90% of the performance (and day one support for open source drivers...)

  • Good luck trying this within the EU.

  • Stop, I can only get so wet!
