Work, play, procrastinate, and panic.

  • "Come on, mateys, step in time...Load the magazine, step in time...Never need a reason, Never need a rhyme...Fire at will, step in time!"

  • Gravity indeed.

Comedian Fred Berry, the guy who played Rerun from "What's Happening", came with headliner Pauly Shore at a stand-up show in my hometown back in like 2000. Famous for his high voice, high energy, and red beret - he accidentally walked right off the frontend of the stage mid-set. He was portly, so it wasn't graceful. He continues the rest of his set in the pit until he introduces Pauly on stage -- to which Pauly books it top speed and jumps in after him.MC: Would you 2 fools get outta there!Pauly: No. We like down here!Rerun: We've accepted our fate. It's closer to hell down here.Pauly: Trust me, I'd be easier if you just bring everyone into the pit.

  • In a parallel universe... DOGE Musk deploys his cybernavy in a attempt to blockade the Strait of Hormuz. A flotilla of teslas was dropped into the waters only to immediately burst into flames due to the salt water. A 2nd wave of cars stationed on a base in Egypt sympathetically started smoking. "They were fully-automated and remoted-in and we couldn't turn them off without a forced uptdate", said reassigned Space Force baseman. Musk sent a recall patch to the surviving smoldering fleet. The cars (including 14,211 unrelated privately-owned teslas) started self-driving to the nearest Tesla repair dealership located in Tallahassee, Florida... from Egypt. An estimated loss of 111 trillion dollars is estimated, but experts officially stopped counting and just declared the entire Tesla brand defunct. 15 years later rusty empty cars encrusted with barnacles are still reported pulling into dealerships that have long since turned into vacant lots or Taco Bells.

  • Cats exist entirely inside their own universe. Merely visibly cohabitating in ours as a one-off domesticated chimera from a larger lineage - sentinels of themselves, holders of cat knowledge, and sources of allergy. I guess it is because we are on their terms for answers of why. And why not -- we have the 'nip!

  • ...they can have ̶t̶̶h̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶4̶̶ ̶ the whole enchilada everything I know as mexican food."

  • Awe dang. I have a theory that the more we push away their data centers they will recoup it one cpu\gpu at a time at the user-end. This is testing that feasibility.

  • I hear if you pay more you can have a girlfriend experience.

  • Boys, the buffet just opened!MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE...

  • Craig Ferguson during his stand-up tour talking about his CBS cancellation..."They kept telling me, 'watch your weight, watch your accent'. And what'd they do - use an even fatter guy with an even worse-er accent."

    Good luck Mf's indeed!

  • I randomly picked a future time. Did I accidentally reference something I'm not remembering? Star Trek:TNG or maybe Futurama pokes around that era.

  • Circa 22nd century, Redux Peanuts, The Succession -- a redomestication of feral Snoopy.

  • Co-ops, unions, small businesses are very beneficial many-fold. The disconnect from those benefits happens when a bigbox entity imparts people with sticker shock, or bargains, or lowest price guarantees. It's not just a peoples' will -- it was will\choice becomes hidden or removed when bigbox puts down too many big roots.

I believe painful will be the transition because it will be long-drawn and painfully slow, to bounce back. Reasoning example- "...too many people are happy with what they have".

  • Yes! I was looking for this comment. I live smack in California central valley. Farms here flex continuously with a multitude of crops. Strawberry, walnuts, cherry, and almond are top long-runners. There are also so many unexpected other high value crops here; like blueberry, spinach, sugar beet, olives, garlic, pistachios, etc.

Del Monte was only one processor. But every one of their factories continues on doing something else that's currently in abundance here.

If local market isn't demanding, one final attempt is the export market. We are currently doing this with alfalfa (hay), rice, and wine.

And on a final fruit note, pears are slowly following the fate of peaches. Dont know why. Currently Brazil and Mexico just make 'em better.

  • Holy moly. Then truly a demonstration of wealth of sorts -- unfettered data processing power. 🤖👍
