  • Well if you want to really help pollinators putting in a little more care than zero will pay big dividends.

I'd say build or buy a planter, 4' ish or smaller, lug some good dirt up, and use an ollas in the center. An ollas is an unglazed terracotta pot that you bury in the centerof the planter with the spout sticking above the dirt. then fill with water once or twice a week or so and the water slowly leeches out and waters the planter.

Pick out any plant that flowers that you like thats labeled as a perrenial and full sun. Some will be labeled as pollinator friendly. But the bees in my area go nuts for anything, cucumber pepper I had a hummer go for bell pepper flowers once.

Get like 4-6 plants for a 4' planter, depending on how big they get. Plant em. Water em real good for two weeks to get the roots established. Like every day water em for two weeks. Then you can go to using just the ollas every so offen and some extra water in heat waves. After 4-6 months sprinkle in some fertilizer to help keep the nutrients in the soil good.

Over winter, take the ollas out to avoid a freeze. Put back in spring. Probably a 2L ollas or small is all you need.

If you really can't be bothered, try hardy hens and chicks. They are small plants that come in lots of variety and make small baby plants. You can pinch off a baby plant and stick it in a random rockwall and it will probably survive. They aren't gonna help a pollinator though, more ornamental. Or get into cactuses.

  • Wagos my man, wagos. Its wire nuts from the future.

Kill the breaker undo whatever the monstrosity is. Each hot, neutral, and ground gets its own Wago. You buy the type that has enough holes for your problem. If theres 3 hot legs that all should all go together after you remove the fixtue get (3) 3-holes (one for 3 hots one for 3 neutrals one f0r 3 grounds). Strip the hot wires so theres no bare copper outside the Wago and clip em all in the Wago, do the neutrals and grounds in their own wagos and your done. No fire haze. Safer than wire nuts and easier. And I'm not a salesman just used em before.

    Wagos!

probably you need 12awg size (the thickness of the copper cable)

Hardware store or amazon. Seriously easy. Cheap. No need for a box. Works just as well for weird 4 wire 277v or whatever.

.....just dont put hot and neutral together. Hots with hots neutrals with neutrals.....

  • Anyone thruhike it yet?

  • Gotcha, well I'll keep an eye out down the road. Good luck!

  • This is very cool. But I'm thumb fingered idiot.

How can I check and see if anyone in my area had started an instance I can join?

  • Twin Ion Engine. There's no hyperdrive in there...

  • I get an error saying "something went wrong" "please make sure google play store is enabled ...."

  • Havnt played one in a while. I do like devil may cry and GoW tho. What about you?

  • So... you really like dating Sims?

  • Why is the universe expanding?

  • Sooo did she actually see ol' musky's weird message? Or was this just her doing her thing?

Article doesn't really say. Seems more like she's just doing her thing and Elon chose to have tiny dick energy at a convenient time.

Well yea... Hes kinda always has that.

  • Thanks for the advice. I think ive been convinced to wait and see where the steam machine pricing falls.

I was thinking pre-built just to have something easier and focus on learning the software side. But yea lots of comments saying it'll save a lot of money so I'll make a while project of it.

  • Eh funny but untrue. The dudes I know who are plant people grow anything cool. Ive got a lot of weird and cool plants.

I do grow the super hot peppers, and i like feeding ticks to my carnivorous plants tho. So its not far off.

I also grow tomatoes, eggplants, garlic, cuces, squash, etc.

  • I saved someone's life in the back woods while backpacking.

We tried to cross a water crossing we should NOT have tried to cross, whitewater and way too fast. A few folks came down the other side of the trail and we eventually rigged our bear ropes into a hand hold across the river, maybe 40' wide. Took about 10min to cross and I almost got swept away. First one from their group to cross got stuck, lost her footing, and was holding onto the rope with like 3 fingers. I rushed out and grabbed her pack. Not sure how I got back there so quick but hauld her back up and helped the rest cross. When I got back to the other side my legs were cut TF up from the rocks.

I dont cross white water now.

  • Ps store let me buy it and download about 3hrs late.

Everything else on the store seemed normal except that game.

  • This is a great resource! Thanks

  • Yea ive run into this problem a lot. If there was some ethical and green EFT that are easy to ID I would buy them in a second.

Ill invest in a stock only if its not tied to oil in any way that I can ascertain, isnt totally corrupt (facebook/nestle are out), and is American owned -since all my stuff is here and the last time I did out of country trades I fucked up my taxes and had extra fees because im too stupid to parse complicated tax law and too stubborn to pay someone to do that for me.

EFTs are hard. Frequently I'll get through a long list of the holdings and then, bam tesla, and im done with it. But Ill go in and buy small amounts of the direct stocks I like.

I haven’t made any crazy gains. Covid wiped out my first year or so of gains and then I was doing great until Trump started up.

  • Ill have issues with super super spicy peppers or hot sauce. But generally I have to actively seek out something that spicy. Just some ghost pepper hot sauce won't do much to my system even if its spicy going down. Carolina reapers will do it.

Growing my own scorpion peppers this year. Never had a truly fresh one before.

  • I did do that a bit. Generally I preferred to just keep it under the rain fly though to grab stuff if needed. And that makes pack up in the am much quicker anyway.

Ended up just not caring about the insects after the first few weeks.

  • Picking them off my pack.

I use a hammock gear hammock, attached bug screen and internal ridge line. So it pops right up as you hang it.
