  • idk. i would belive most germans would have apprechiated a second chance even under a new flag (allied states or isreal). also i am no scolar in thia at all so feel free to provide soirces to teach me, but wernet the palastinean people promised the lnd thats now isreal to join the wareffort on the side of the allies? thats what i was tought before. so this seems even more explosive than resettleing germany. i mean germans dont even need to move. but accept a new jewisch goverment.

Look if bob works at "bob studios" and i love his work and want to support him, i can buy his game. but if bob got fired long ago, he wont get the money i give to "bob studios". You are supporting a buisness construct and not the artist in this case here. almost all workers in the game dev field loose their job post project anyway, so you are not even helping them. So i stand by point that this is capitalist propaganda. Its sad but videogame artists get abused by the scene a whole lot. i think it makes sense to show support witht the individuals who make the games you love, rather than the legal steuctures trying to milk them.

  • other people got paid already. they most likely wont loose money or portfolio if you boycott. its rare that lower level devs and artists are getting any percent of the sales numbers. This talking point from you is coming straigt from bigger publishers all the way to stockholders that have nothing to do with the product.

    also again, that was very much not my point. you can engage with my argument while rejecting everything regarding cops. i think my argument stands if i went ahead and delete every sentence with police in it.

  • well id suggest you read it again if that was your only take from the comment. also does, or does not, police reduce crime at a big festival, or at a demonstration or any other gathering of people? Do police regulating traffic reduce traffic accidents by enforcing traffic laws?

    Ever heard of gang ruled areas? those can exist because of underfounded police. id say those have higher crime than police controlled cities.

    Also again, not at all the essense of my comment, but rather a supporting point.

  • well does police being founded stop a crime from happening? does haveing a car mechanic around prevent your car from breaking down? its the same with firefighters. they do prevent these events to an extend. regular car check ups keep the engine going, police presents keeps areas safer and firefighters overviewing critical situations helps detect and extinguis fires early.

    But all of those jobs have also a reactionary nature. sure its best to never need fire fighters, but you cant undercut it. because founding them after the fire is too late. Cutting their budget shows low insight and thats what the post makes fun of.

  • AAA movies were called that by haveing A-class actors A-class musicans and A-class production company. this correlates to nothing in Videogames. Its mostly a marketing term. I agree with most that initial budget plays the biggest role.

  • i have the same problem, but i figured a way to use it for the long game. if we play several rounds, i am vocal in predicting the game based on chances. usually i get killed by the town. but more often than not my predictions were correct. so when i become werwolf a few games in, i remind people how good my "instinct" is, and usually they trust me then >:)

  • what do you mean "miss"? i think everyone decent is on your side that the trans discrimination needs to stop. but this not happening at this point doesnt make this news bad. As a queer activist for many decades i can tell you that queer rights sadly come in baby steps. And that we need to fight together and celebrate every advancement.
