  • As a guy who's work laptop is super hot even when closed due to to all the spyware IT had to put in it, I understand. It's not my money if it falls.

  • The Venture Bros. The world building was massive for a show that started out as a Jonny Quest parody complete with supervillains/heroes, spies, politics between these groups, a deep history spanning over a century and mysterious characters that hinted at a deeper story. They were planning to do an arc using a Magneto analog voiced by Matt Berry and how he was dethroned by David Bowie. The entire series was written by two guys so it's likely the reboot's quality would still be great.

  • Not that much. That's like ~$43k after taxes which doesn't seem like a lot for most major cities. Good luck affording a home with that wage, and forget about saving for retirement or even regular vacations when rent can easily eat up half the remaining money.

  • Removing the crowds and production values actually makes it way better. He seems more genuine now too.

  • Seeing it in 360p gives it that quality of an old Adult Swim show.

  • Sanitation is definitely one of those jobs that don't get valued and paid enough.

  • They make everything from baby powder to vaccines and orthopedics. I figure their specialized medical equipment overshadows their consumer goods sales figures.

  • Votes were frequently bought in Mexico with gift cards, food, and sometimes straight up cash. It's partly why the ineffective and corrupt PRI party held on to power there for decades. It's best to just do away with bribery altogether.

  • The press sounds great but I always found it annoying to clean out so never got one for myself. I do use a nice electric kettle and disposable fiber teabags for brewing pretty much anything else however.

  • I keep my grounds in a jar next to a 5 cup dripper. Yeah it's not a fancy French press or espresso maker capable of fine tuning brewing pressure and temperature but my boring sensibilities like a simple hot coffee. I'd occasionally do cold brew by mixing grounds and water in a jar overnight and filter/dilute it the next morning.

  • At least we got the Affordable Care Act with him (while Trump got rid of it) and repealed Don't Ask Don't Tell allowing LGBTQ+ service members to openly serve in the military. Almost everything else after that has been a disappointment from the Dems since they find it more profitable to act as controlled opposition to the GOP thanks to bribery from groups like major oil companies and Israel.

  • Don't like 95% of their school children attend after school tutoring until 10 PM every day in preparation for a single 8 hour exam that determines their entire economic future?

  • Melancholic Lasagna.

  • That's a refreshingly candid condemnation of all the things Trump and the GOP have been doing. I hope this pisses off the apathetical assholes who didn't vote in the first place to actually give a shit and do so against them.

  • Or increased pay.

  • Fuck. Off. Harris.

  • AI as customer service is shit. I wasted an entire day waiting for an electrician to show up while the clanker I was texting to kept reassuring me the techs were on the way. They were supposed to arrive at 4 and by the time I gave up on the company it was 10. It turned out it never even alerted the techs to show up at my property. Humans are way better even if you have to wait for them to call back, they can be held accountable at least.

  • Both companies are leaning hard on digital only sales. Between the standard PS5 shipping without a disc drive and Switch 2 cartridges being little more than download keys the physical retail market is in its last dying gasps. Steam handily has both companies beat in terms of game catalog availability and affordability. A few console exclusives might be enough to maintain steady sales, but it's an obvious trend that PC gaming is gaining dominance with third party publishers.
