    For those not in know: it's like telling someone with a broken ankle to "just walk". That's why it's important to know that ADHD should be treated like any other handicap.

  • I've always imagined neurotypicals to have more of their senses working together in harmony. Less prone to brain overloading or de-syncing, you know?

    Always envious to see people I know interacting with others so casually. "You mean you don't have to rehearse a script before talking to others?? You just go in raw??? No intense anxiety or anything??? That's bonkers.." That kind of thing. Lol

  • There are 2 types of ADHD: ADHD (hyperactive) and ADHD-PI (primarily inattentive). I have ADHD-PI, which does not really manifest hyperactivity. More like the "I can't drive once my meds wear off because I'll get distracted and drive up a curb"-type.

    Executive dysfunction is a major part of my diagnosis, as well.

    Not saying that you absolutely have ADHD, but it's something to be mindful of if you find that its hugely affecting your life in a negative way.

  • My younger sister had this issue! (and would also sometimes eat it 🤢). Did it until her first year of high school.

    My mom borrowed a microscope for our schooling, and my little sister had the funny idea to put a booger on a slide to take a look.

    We both looked and were absolutely horrified at what we saw that day. Never saw her pick her nose ever again.

    Really messed me up, tbh. Told that my purpose as a woman was to get married and "please my husband", no matter what.

    As a teen, my desire to like boys never manifested. My youth pastor would preach about how women were princesses whose desire was to be saved by a knight, and men were knights seeking adventure. I always wanted the adventure, and I was completely ostracized for it.

    Imagine being told that your purpose is to be loved, then realizing that your true self is something nobody will ever love.

    It's disturbing, and I was severely depressed throughout my entire young & teenage years.

    (it got much worse, but I don't want to go over that. Just know that I escaped that shit eventually.)
