A very old enzyme. Still fixing inorganic carbon in the biosphere through yet another mass extinction. Still grabbing the wrong molecule on occasion. Anyway, here are some more phosphoglycerates.

Kill your lawn, grow a garden. As you do this, look within and do the same.

  • One should know. Apparently, some don't notice for awhile.

(Do not tap if gnarly medical stories upset you.)

When I asked her to look down, I could see the edges of a couple of contacts stuck to each other. Pulling them out, I felt like I could still see more and asked my assistant to get my phone to record the removal.

Asking the patient to look down again, I could see a huge, dark-purple blob of contact lenses stuck to her eye. It almost looked like a second pupil. I gently started using a Q-tip to peel the lenses apart one by one, like you would deal a deck of cards. They were coming out in a chain, drooping down her lid. There were a lot of contact lenses — I thought this could be my Guinness Book of World Record moment.

  • Hell yes! Thank you!

  • Wednesdays just got a whole lot cooler around here. o7

  • What I'm hearing is: there's a new comm that wants to see the most irritating and annoying ads the fediverse has seen.

  • Just Starfleet violating directives again. It's probably best to ignore it; somebody else's problem.

  • 💚 Thank you, I appreciate that! (Luciferase is gonna be SO jealous.)

  • That likely helps artists the most, but the bare minimum is not cropping out (or digitally erasing) their signature, whatever that signature happens to be.

c/comicstrips has seen an increase in the number of posts where the original artwork was defaced in the name of 'ad blocking'.

  • To find an artist's signature or a comic's website URL to be an advertisement is the clown opinion being joked about here.

Shaming plagiarists and encouraging proper citation before posting to a public platform are the objectives.

"Useless to the artist" is a post of their work that doesn't link back to them.

  • English is my first language and you have me second guessing myself.Citations are typically used for sources in academic papers or Wikipedia.Quotes often get misattributed to various incorrect historical figures.Accreditation is probably the word I should have used, but attribution is what I was seeing in comments the most. Also, to me accreditation sounds like something a university or a mortgage bond would seek, not so much an artist, but honestly I don't know for sure.

Ramble aside, yes, they essentially mean the same thing.

  • It's soo weird, right? Like...what an utterly mad hill to die on. It's really not a difficult or unreasonable request.

  • Bro i dont care

I doubt that. No care = no comment.

And usually I'd take the time to unpack the remaining drivel, but instead I think I'll leave you with another work of art to ponder.

Here's Tim Minchin with a beat poem called Mitsubishi Colt

  • Yeah, it gave me such a head spin that I felt a meme was earned. Today's small scale WTF news.

  • Ahh, that makes more sense. I must admit, sometimes I do eat the onion.Yeah, I agree that looks more like data than spam, and social media sites aren't artists.

  • That sounds like a mod problem, and plagiarism is not an acceptable recourse.Regardless of mod behavior, this post is about supporting artists and not treating their signatures (for lack of a better term) as ads to be removed.
