I just want to say that I love systemd. Working with services and timers is just a pleasure. Handling dependencies is sooo much easier. This is just my opinion, but yeah, I can't imagine dealing with SysV in 2025.
Sometimes I wonder if anybody even is absolutely one or the other at all times and circumstances.
Well, absolutely not. I thought it's pretty obvious that this is more like a scale were you fall somewhere between one and the other. Also, those words don't really have any rigorous definitions.
Somehow NixOS really is like a fucking crack. I had like a 6 months non-stop hyperfixation about configuring everything using NixOS and Home Manager. Almost every evening. Now I have a polished setup of my personal and work laptops, homelab server and a VPS. And I have no regrets, this thing is amazing.
Work on Free Open Source Software. Seriously, I fucking love software engineering and I can't really imagine doing anything else with my life. I mean, it's very very cool that they decided to add that feature. But pretending that they carefully listen to the user's voices and eagerly implement their suggestions... Come on...
I see. Now that I think about this, it wasn't so nice for the first year afer breaking up with my ex. Still, I enjoyed it before and now I enjoy again.
Same as you but both for toenails and fingernails. Fabric catching on a rough edge of freshly cut nail is like the highest level of sensory nightmare for me. Because of this I spend so much time meticulously filing them and I just hate it.
I see, this sounds very good indeed!
