  • Some sherwin williams is great paint. Over the years, they have introduced multiple lines of paint in the "budget" tier that are absolutely terrible paints.

Unfortunately, in my experience with paint, cheap paint really isn't all that cheap. You will either end up paying in extra time or extra paint, and often in both.

  • That is slander to mules who provide valuable functions to people way beyond what these anal fissures provide.

  • In my opinion, the two best ways to significantly improve your writing, are to are to write more often and read more often.

Immerse yourself in the written word by consuming it constantly. Then find your voice by constantly producing written work.

It sounds simple, and to an extent, it is, but it is far from easy. It takes time and effort, but it is well worth it.

  • Exactly. Presenting arguments in good faith with people who are willing to accept objective views and valid factual information can be thrilling and present opportunity to learn about your own belief systems.

In practice, though, it is such a rare occurrence that you are mostly just better off banging your head against a wall.

  • I got into a loud verbal altercation with a teacher at one point who insisted I was asleep while I was arguing with them.

  • You know that is a fair point that I hadn't considered.

  • Of course, it's not better. There is no way around the laws of thermodynamics. Weight loss is a measure of taking in fewer calories than you burn. That's the formulae.

That said, intermittent fasting can be a great way for some people to manage their caloric intake. Some people just find it easier to manage their calories by eating once or twice a day and restricting themselves at others.

At the end of the day, though it's not meant to be a panacea, it's a tool to be used for those that prefer it to other options.

  • Lowest ever rank...so far

  • No chance. Considering the dozens of broken bones, multiple concussions, couple stabbings, and single gunshot wound, even half my injuries would be enough to do me in if they occurred all at one.

  • Oh now I see, you are one of those that think capitalism is a system of government. May want to learn the difference.

  • Oh I don't know. Maybe refer to the fact that 98% of all human history has occured without capitalism, where as capitalism has managed to nearly make the world unlivable in just over a couple hundred years while also convincing people that is is the only solution to the problems it has caused.

  • If you believe that "taxing the rich and a truly democratic society" can exist within a capitalist societal structure, then my friend, you are sadly mistaken

  • You mean we need to solve the problems created by "capitalist societal structures" like "the rise of authoritarianism across the world, an ever smaller group of people's wealth dwarfing the rest of the planet's combined wealth, climate change, etc."

  • There are so many, but I think my first choice would probably have to be Seven Samurai. It is such an amazing piece of cinema. One of the most influential pieces that has inspired almost all of the film we still see today.

  • At what point can you not blame the democratic party for failing to inspire voters in the midst of an authoritarian blitz.

It can't be their fault thought despite spending hundreds of millions of dollars, thousands of hours of research across hundreds of focus groups each year to find out what is popular among voters only to continually accidentally do the opposite and disenfranchise the very voters who should be voting for them.

Surely it can't be the fact the democratic party continually accidentally gives up every political advantage and opportunity to advance by somehow acquiesce to Republicans because this time, "they've learned their lesson".

At this point the democratic party is either controlled opposition, or so completely inept and ignorant that they probably shouldn't be in power either.

  • SUPERHOT!

  • Just so it's clear, Venezuela has ample oil, and holds one of the world's top ten supplies of fresh water.

  • Still think they missed a step by not calling it the "companion cube".

  • Exactly, this was neither caving, nor capitulation. It was calculated cowardice specifically designed to disenfranchise voters after they dared to vote for Mamdani.

This was a move planned and executed by Schumer meant to undercut the possibility of a progressive wave that might actually function as an opposition party. The pure and simple fact is that the establishment Dems are controlled. They helped Mike Johnson retain speaker of the house, they helped pass the "big beautiful" and now they are actively helping to remove healthcare access. They will continue to support fascism over progress.
