  • It's in the modlog, you don't need to take my word for it.

    We have an email people can reach out to. We all have access to it so we can keep each other accountable. If anyone feels that they've been unfairly banned, they can reach out to the email and a mod unrelated to the ban will address it. We've let go of a mod in the past for unfairly banning people, it's not like we're going to defend each other for no reason. We're a team, sure, but my justice-flavored autism isn't going to hold that relationship over doing the right thing.

  • I banned Stamets a couple times over the last year for posting an anti-trans meme and a different instance of not tagging NSFW. Stamets is a repeat offender, hence the ban from Moss. Banning people for not tagging NSFW is in the stated rules. Repeat offenders are held to a higher standard. The "trolling" tag was because they plainly refused to tag the post.

    Blaze has been warned about harassment already, and not just on mods. Fan didn't threaten to ban them for critiquing our actions, although I can see how anyone else could've got there.   • I keep seeing comments like this about none of us having local accounts. My account is local??? I was one of the first mods brought on by Moss, so I'm not sure where this came from. I had a shitjustworks account at first, but I switched over almost immediately so maybe that was it? Our reports counter is consistently at 0.

  • For anyone unaware. California uses slavery to fight fires. This is why cops have a higher budget after cutting the Fire Budget. Anyone arrested for non-violent crimes, who serve a sentence of 10 months or more are pressured to join fire camp. They are not given full PPE. They get less than $1/hour when fighting active fires and it's extremely dangerous. They can't even be hired by Fire Departments when they leave prison.

    This is why being unhoused is criminalized. It fuels the slavery machine. Other states lease out prisoners to work fast food, make clothes, etc. The USA is heavily backed by slave labor still to this day.

  • Japan has insanely long titles for light novels (which was also adopted by manga) in order to get people to pick up books. There's such an influx of light novels the writers starting turning the titles into summaries.
