In a fight between delusion and physics, physics may always win but delusion never concedes.

  • Whereas not using a VPN will subject one to... domestic surveillance.

  • I own a Honda Fit. It's small, is reasonably petrol efficient, has actual dials and physical knobs for an interface, and needs just basic maintenance to run reliably.

Of course they've been discontinued in Canada.

  • Elon couldn't pay me to buy a Tesla. I like EVs. It's not about the technology. It's entirely about Elon. I'd rather buy Japanese or South Korean, thank you.

  • Where are your MAGA friends now, Opus Dei?

  • Capital flows across borders easily, labor does not. It's a state imposed arbitrage system where capital flows to the cheapest labor but labor cannot move to countries with the highest wages, thus ensuring a race to the bottom with labor rates.

  • Yes yes yes yes.

It's the, 'all guns and no butter' budget.

  • She broke numerous state and federal laws during her tenure as AG. She does not have immunity. Trump cannot pardon state convictions. She should face a criminal investigation and prosecution.

Beyond that, I honestly don't know what will happen. The judicial system has been the most resistant to Trump's authoritarianism of all three branches. Even with a corrupt SCOTUS.

  • The Florida Bar won't even conduct an investigation into her conduct while holding federal office. That's an actual rule. So to get Pam disbarred will take a felony conviction. But there are many states to do that. And the DOJ, after Trump. These people will face justice.

  • And we've still got the better part of three years of his insanity left to go. Preppers may finally get to use their supplies.

  • Aaron was instrumental in rewriting Reddit from spez's half-baked lisp prototype to python. And that was before python hit it big. Kn0thing can't code and neither could spez. Without Aaron, reddit would never have scaled.

  • Please read Lessig's Code, and Other Laws of Cyberspace. There is no system code that doesn't implement rules, and no rules that aren't impacted by its creators' biases. What matters is intent. It's clear, the devs of PieFed by implementing anti-Nazi mod tools do not intend to ban people who were born in 1988 or otherwise. You use an edge case to argue a rare injustice trumps the obvious good of tossing neonazis off their platform.

  • Mod tools on PieFed are vastly better than on Lemmy. And that's not a political statement.

  • The one I bought was a 2400bps unit in 1985. I hooked it up to a local BBS I ran on a TRS-80 Model 1. Fun times. Lol

  • I actually owned one of those!

    It's a cable-tv descrambler.
