  • Security doesn't equal private.

  • Finally someone sees it.

  • How could they load software on the phone? They could use stingray systems possibly or any man in the middle but what if your network traffic is behind a vpn, what if your device is secured. I doubt they can simply CONTROL your device and how it operates from a distance reliably and en mass.

  • Not buying it.

  • Its gonna be terrible. Slow, edited, not ready yet.

  • VeraCrypt solves this issue. I leave my main OS unencrypted then simply store veracrypt partitions to the size I need and put files inside that as needed. I've dealt with resizing luks partitions and its not worth it. Especially if you build, maintain, or otherwise tinker with you system.

  • This

  • This pretty neat to see.

  • Somewhere around 230k or so. It ran so good and everything worked so nicely that I've owned cars with 70 and 80k miles that had far more problems. With maintenance most cars can last and maintenance is one of the if not the number one cause of failure.

It's all about keeping it simple. No heated and cooled seats and heated steering wheels. Have a basic model car nothing top of the line. It'll last.

  • I've done it on a dell xps and and surface 7 or 9 pro. Everything runs good if you use it as traditional. Once you go full touchscreen and do away with the folio keyboard. Typing is not worth doing. Touch input is ok on Mint or others but the in screen keyboard pop up almost never works. I went back to a laptop after 1500 plus dollars wasted. Battery life was subpar 3 hours or so. Seems great in theory and I almost used it to ditch the phone. Just isn't ready fully. Laptop, all in one mini pc or desktop. Unless your truly browsing light or doing easy light things and want a bigger screen. It made me realize that 2 in 1s seem great on paper but practice they suck to hold, travel even in the house, generally just not what I was hoping. I used surface kernel and tried different distros. Returned both devices as it just wasn't ready. Not having a full touch keyboard pop up in web, or OS use killed it entirely. I tried openboard and mints pre installed keyboard but nothing was fast and fluid. It was pecking slow and annoyed.

  • Argggh! Sweet

  • I suppose I was a bit pedantic about it, what I really mean is that people take things far too personal and it's a bit ridiculous to me. Perhaps I should not have said it was hilarious it was more of an expression of absurdity to me.

English is not my language. I do my best. I contribute, I write in english to do better learning. I still think if you look at some of the replies on Lemmy an to my comment above. People don't have open minds. Quick to ridicule and cast out. Most people seem to have the view of theirs and only theirs. Everyone opposing is bad. That is not good for anyone and the world.

  • Sure.

Clearly I struck a nerve with everyone, which I find hilarious.

I'm not a MAGAT. I said that because it's legitimate and true to some degree whether I agree with the words woke mind virus or not it was a means to explain the phenomenon.

Everyone has some sort of idea, intuition, theory, about literally everything now days in some crazy fashion, 5g world domination, implants in blood draws, wild things you see. The government, food, tech, tv shows. What I was speaking on loosely and fast just as a simple comment to OP was that there literally seems like a woke mind virus now days because its ingrained in everyone.

I only used woke mind virus because that's what most people see on the news and hear about, so they understand loosely the context I speak about. Was more to get my point across, be active in this sub, and be relatable to OP. Again. Not a MAGAT so everyone commenting and being offended, while your entitled to feel how you feel my post was simply taken far out of context.

Edit: I think this post helps prove my point or atleast reaffirm what I was meaning. Everyone below was quick to lash out, downvote, with any sort of understanding or discussion. That in and of itself is part of the issue. People being so ingrained in their feelings and view that it inhibits productive discussion and behaviour.

  • Why even comment lol. I came with the reddit exodus and been active here. I hate other social media. And as far as my comment. I think it's entirely in line especially with Lemmy culture.

  • Correct. This is what I was stating but Lemmy took it out of context. Oh well.

  • Not a troll lol

  • Woke mind virus.

  • Not perfect but possible. There is pros and cons to going thus route.
