  • I don't have an image in the upper right corner (android) but I was able to do it like this, at last:

    • Tap the 3-vertical-dots menu in the upper right corner
    • Tap settings
    • Tap my name (next to a circle at the top)
    • Set a username
    • Use that username or the QR code that is now available after setting username

    I was NOT aware I was using Signal without a username all this time

  • For regular to-do lists (like a shopping list) I use Google keep, and it has a widget that displays any list you want on the home screen. It also lets you share lists with others.

    For tasks that need a date and time, I create tasks in Google calendar and they are automatically listed on the calendar widget
