  • I've been having a great week so far! I had a job interview on Monday and got hired on the spot. I have been looking for a job for years now and I am so happy I finally landed one.

  • When I was in therapy I learned lots of DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) skills one of which being 'radical acceptance,' which basically means you fully accept the situation and move on. What I'm trying to say is, saying "it is what it is" is a legit scientifically proven coping skill and I think that's really funny.

  • Regulating smartphone sells feels like overkill imo. It's one of those things where it's up to the parents and, unfortunately, it means that there will be kids with phone but that's all you can do really.

    I do like the idea of restricting social media apps. My parents did the same thing when I was growing up. It didn't really work because I managed to work around it. But, it's the thought that counts lol.

  • I think a good middle ground would be minor regulation and education. Forbid places like Instagram, for example, from recommending beauty ads if a person is consuming content that may indicate that they are insecure about their bodies. Then ensure that teens/young adults know what tricks social media use to garner engagement, be mentally addictive etc so they can make more informed choices.

  • The Steel Ball Run anime! I decided to read 80% of the manga (after the anime was announced) to save the finale for the anime so I have something to look forward to and the suspense is killing me.

  • Chinese soup dumplings. My friends and I got together to make some and boy did they turn out...different than we expected. I watched YouTube videos before that explained why they are hard to get down, especially the folding part but, yeah, I think I'll just pay the $3-8CAD for a bag.
