  • Unpopular opinion - DS9 is my least favorite so far. I liked Discovery more and ENT even more so. Voyager is my heart. TNG, TOS, Lower Decks... all amazing. I'm saving SNW cause I know it's gonna be good. So unless Picard is really that bad, DS9 hangs in last place for me right now

Don't get me wrong, the character development is great and the show was good. But DS9 just wasn't very "Trek" to me. Don't hate me

  • "My mind... everything... it's so quiet!"

That was my experience with being prescribed vyvance. I took adderall before and it helped a lot... but damn. Vyvance just did me so much more justice. It doesn't really wake me up if I'm tired, but I ain't trying to speed either. I just like being able to think (aka function)

  • Not sure why people think slavery was abolished there, when all that actually happened were a change in the situations allowing it

    Because of propaganda manufacturing consent?

  • spent 2 months in Project X, testing different photographic emulsions under extreme radiation—from hospital X-rays—to determine which would hold up best

What you’re looking at is an amalgamation of muons, formed millions of light year away from black holes, and UVC radiation usually filtered out by the ozone layer, but now etched onto this canvas and potentially electrical discharge due to the static build up between the dark bad and the film

  • It's simply the "opening windows" part and having it harass me about upgrading or whatever it will do now lol. Most of my backup is up to date already, and installing a new OS and setting it up is the fun part, it's just pure procrastination and a little anxiety for no reason. But finishing my backup from a live USB might be fun enough to play with it!

  • Hey, that's not a bad idea! Didn't even think about that

  • Those are awesome! I bet getting to work with raptors/owls is so interesting, kudos for finding a passion! We really do have some cool people around here

  • Well that's fun as hell, even on my phone. Love that the city lights rise with how fast your speed is. Will have to try the desktop next, but awesome job!

  • I'll just shoot the cars instead. Much safer

    And way more freedom-inducing endorphins

  • I have a computer that is still on Windows 10 and I need to back-up/convert to linux... but I haven't turned it on in almost a year now, and am procrastinating because I'm afraid of the grief it may or may not cause me. I would love for it to just tell me it's safe to turn on now lol

  • "Hey look, my old af computer works again. Sweet"

That's about how I see it. I've used other distros for niche projects (like un-bricking my OG Xbox with a 20 year old desktop, cause I fucked up the mod). But I use Mint for my daily computer, cause I'm not much of a software tinkerer... and my wife can use it without issues as well. Fuck, I do love Linux for all the hardware it's helped me save, regardless of distro
