I read that book, boy it's a steaming crock of shit. They are following the worst book second to mein kampf that has soo many misconceptions that you really get a sense on why Russia is such a shithole.
Bazzite, i tried arch and then realized the whole wiki was like a uni level symposium and was burning through steps, kept doing instead of understanding, etc...
It's probably amazing, but since my only interaction with linux back then was being forced to use it at uni and windows, I really wanted a good experience of what linux could be. I needed it to work out of the box and be unbreakable, so I went with bazzite.
It's great, and I am digging the immutable aspect even if it broke my brain for any dev work, but once you learn how to use an immutable system (still figuring it out tbh) it's solid, easy, and works great.
Really wished there was more resources on immutable systems for newcomers though XD
I block only when I see a user who is unhinged enough and is obviously not getting banned by moderators. Usually theses people can be baited into making terrible arguments terrible opinions backed by either terrible ideology or lies, and mods can deal with them.
I think reporting users is more effective to not let the whole site become completely unusable by attracting shitheads/trolls/agitators who even if blocked keep posting garbage because that might be seen by new users.
Also responding to them is taxing on some people's mental health, so this isint for everyone and I get why people might opt for it. I prefer arguing since there is a chance that they might be misinformed or hot headed (me included).
Honestly it depends on how you want to engage with a platform.
Nahh, gop knows americans will never protest anything since they gotta be good little boys and girls and go work and not make any noise, no damaging anything nada.
Lets be honest, the closest thing you guys have in regards of protesting or holding anyone powerful accountable are mentally ill shooters.
Thank you for the information, other comments have pointed their need for mental stimulation and companionship. I intend to look into many options, and a fellow donkey mate is on the list of primary considerations.
On the subject of donkeys, do you know if they are rather patient? Would they rather walk around or laze about (it depends on the donkey, I bet)? I am trying to picture their behavior, from the minimal amount of research I've done. I saw a YouTube video of them galloping and it was very entertaining.

EDIT: Donkeys dont sound easy to keep by no stretch of the imagination, and I have alot of time to get acquainted with the volume of work it will take to keep one happy!
Goats seem like neat animals as well. But I heard that they need to be always pregnant if I would want some milk, which seems a bit cruel. Also they do not live long, but I will consider it.
No, after the house. I am sorry if i did not make it clear in the post. And its a long term plan, so getting the house would have to take the donkey into consideration as well if I manage to get there.
You are right about the lack of research. I do not plan to harm any donkey and am still assessing the proper amount of care that must be given to such an animal. Do you work with donkeys? Two seem like a better idea, and will demand considerably more investment of time to think over it.
I would take it while fishing tbh, and I would get a sitter for theses twice a year trips. This is a long term plan, so all info would be great. Do you have experience with donkeys?
The amount of time wasted on our attention spans because of ads...
Sometimes I feel suffocated, it feels like an intruder trying to crack open my skull through repetition.
It's so nice to be able to go on a website with no ads like lemmy! MY ADBLOCKER DOES NOTHING IT HAS NOT HAPPENED IN THE PAST 10 YEARS
In France it's pure greed. The government keeps trying to pawn off any public utility that doesn't generate revenue since that Jupiter wannabe took office. I don't know how politicians convinced billions of people that public utilities must be profitable...
yeah social media should be more functional and easily put away when not needed. I love the fact that I just don't get attention consuming notifications. I love the fact that there isn't an algorithm that promotes the most inflammatory point of view for "eNgAgEmEnT".
I just don't feel like a product here, it feels real compared to any platform.
Yeah I am currently using my steam deck as a main desktop drive, I was blown away at how good this operating system is. I can't go back. I just can't.
The only thing that pisses me off is that I can't use adobe software, but hey my wallet is thanking me.
What really makes me happy, is no ads. No store, no xbox icon, no bloatware, no
<activate windows>
, no edge being like a jealous gf, no programs to install programs, no windows defender making me paranoid, no firewall, no forced graphics chosen for me by microsoft, no ten ways to do the same action...
Honestly I don't know why I didn't switch. I remember trying to get a computer without windows and my brother advising against it, I want to go back in time and slap him from depriving me from such a well conceived experience.
Honestly moderated self hosted servers always seemed like an obvious solution, but no game company would do this since they can't monetize their products to the degree that a live service can.
Where is the spelling shadow person he's suspiciously missing.
