  • I have done this before once, though I do find that each 'spool' of color is a bit too small especially a bowden setup as there's a good amount of waste there.

Which does work for some projects, but then not terribly viable for medium sized projects especially if I need just a bit more. I need a Goldilocks solution! lol

I might have to look more into buying more multi-bags though, nice idea!

  • I'll have to look around, thanks!

  • Unfortunately that doesn't help me as much with the storage issue, though that's definitely decent pricing if I need two specific colors!

  • Oooh, that's a neat idea that I hadn't thought of. I'll definitely be reaching out to my library!

  • Oooh, I always overlook that, good point. I'm from the US and I'll add that to my post. Thanks.

  • 3DPrinting @lemmy.world

Cost effective filament for low volume printing? IE: getting smaller amounts of filament?

  • The problem that I find is that most cases only say they support x drives, but with some additional (official) drive cages can support more, but stuff like PC Part Picker doesn't show that, so hard to search that way.

  • Did you have something else in mind?

  • Fair question, difficult to answer.

I bought the Deep Silence around $180. So maybe $250 or so/less? Flexible. Definitely not Storinator prices (though I wish they sold the chassis separate).

  • datahoarder @lemmy.ml

Any affordable cases that can hold 14 HDDs and 3 SSDs?

  • Why the switch?

  • I'm a dungeon master and I use it for help world building and its exceptional.

Oh that sounds neat. Can you give some examples of your process and results?

  • I do like Prowlarr for management of indexers across the *arr apps, but for some reason I prefer the Jackett search much more. I think part of it is the sub-search within the results, or something else about the UI.

  • Do you have any issues with it crashing?

  • Plex @lemmy.ml

Poll: What OS do you run Plex on?

  • I do want the ultrawide for gaming specifically, and otherwise just using what I've got already. Else, I'd definitely entertain that thought a bit more. Interesting for sure though!
