  • Canceled once they started enforcing the new policy in Germany. I will the same once Disney does it. I have kids in school that use it and when it is not for the whole family anymore it is not interesting enough anymore.

    I am tired of especially Disney saying they are losing money on the service. Loosing how? It is produced and paid for. Then strengthen your brand by making every household with kids paying you a monthly fee instead of picking up dvds at a yard sale.

    Beancounters telling you you missing out on sales you never had in the first place and never will have.

  • As with many if not all issues in the US it comes down to the lies everyone get fed and subsequently buys into.

    Instead of looking into root causes, quick fixes and promises are all that is ever supplied. At best they never really work and at worst they make things worse.

    Look at prisons, childbirth and deaths of infants, healthcare in general, energy or food. It doesn't really matter, because you see first hand what a unregulated economy that is 100% for profit leads to.

    Nothing... absolutely nothing gets better for the average citizen (who in a democratic system should be the beneficiaries) but be it big oil, big telecom or big pharma are the winners.

    Also nothing will improve because the system by now is so rigged that change is nearly impossible.

    That is why I moved my family back to Europe after 20 years in the US.

  • Ich Arbeite seit 30 Jahren in der IT, davon mindestens die Hälfte bei großen Firmen wie Delta Airlines und Siemens. In der Regel werden gerade bei großen Firmen die Geräte nicht gerade mit Samtpfoten benutzt. Die die Laptops wirklich als Laptops nutzen gehen selten bis nie vorsichtig damit um.

    Natürlich kann man auch Glück haben und den Laptop vom Mitarbeiter bekommen der immer am Schreibtisch lag, nie ein und ausgestreckt wurde und keine losen Verbindungen an den USB ports hat, weil alles am Dock eingesteckt wurde. Glücksspiel ist es alle Mal.

    Ich habe darauf hingewiesen das gebraucht allerhöchstens bei einem Portal mit Garantie gekauft werden sollte. Obwohl ich gerade ein solches Gerät von Rebuy von einer Bekannten zum reparieren bekommen habe weil es nach 18 Monaten den Geist aufgeben hat. Da nützt auch die Garantie von 12 Monaten nichts mehr.

  • Laptops sind in der Regel nicht das beste wenn es um gebraucht geht. Ein Desktop steht am selben Fleck und wird nicht weiter bewegt. Ein Laptop fällt schon mal vom Tisch, oder wird mit Tasche ins Auto geworfen.

    Wenn überhaupt dann nur von einem Refurb Anbieter. Oder gleich nen neuen. Die gibt es inzwischen auch für unter 500€. Dann lieber 40€ im Monat an Paypal für ein Jahr zahlen!

  • Viel Bürokratie für nichts. Wir reden hier von 180€ im Monat. Das sind 6€ am Tag. Das riecht nach Populismus und Geldverschwendung alla Autobahnmaut.

    Mal ehrlich. Die Leute haben eh kaum was, dürfen nichts Arbeiten auch wenn sie wollen. Jetzt wird dann noch extra Bürokratie und Fehlerquellen eingebaut damit sich manche Wähler wohlfühlen, sich ein Schwager eines Politikers eine goldene Nase verdient, nur damit das in ein zwei Jahren wieder abgeschafft wird.

    "Die würde des Menschen ist unantastbar..." oder so ähnlich!

  • I have a wall charger at my Airbnb for a year now, with plenty of drive thru stays from Sweden, Norway an Holland to Italy, Croatia and back. I have yet have a guest need or use it. 🤷

  • I think the most crappy expirances are in the US ans some high traffic areas.

    You can usually tell by reviews and crazy rules. I once tried to book in Italy and was asked to bring my own linens. So that was a no.

    In general there is deals to be had, but a little common sense goes a long way.

  • Nicht unterschätzen das die Umrüstung auf WP mit bis zu 70% gefördert werden soll. Also nicht unbedingt abschreiben!

    Beim Eigenheim ist aber auch die Solaranlage ausschlaggebend ob sich die frühere Umrüstung lohnt!

  • Ich saniere so langsam vom der Ölheizung weg.

    Die Solaranlage ist schon das zweite Jahr auf dem Dach und in den Sommermonaten macht sie alle 30 Tage so um die 2Mwh Überschuss.

    Ich habe eine 12 Jahre alte Solarthermie mit Heizungsunterstützung auf dem dem Dach die in den Pufferspeicher einspeisst.

    Meine Strategie, im Haus aus den 70ern, ist punktuell die Zimmer die bewohnt werden mit Minisplit Geräten zu Heizen und so die Wärmepumpe die in den nächsten 12 Monaten wohl kommen wird dann zu unterstützen.

    Angenehmer Nebeneffekt wird dann natürlich auch die Verfügbarkeit der Kühl Funktion im Sommer, wo ich eh jede Menge Überschuss produziere.

    Auch gute Minisplits bekommt man inzwischen günstig und man kann viel selber machen, man muß nur den letztendlichen Anschluß vom Fachmann machen lassen. (Leider)

  • The SPD is not a great comparison number because as a party it has a severe identity crisis. They sold their soul by being in a big coalition and many people that remember what the SPD stood for don't find the party it once was. Even worse young voters don't see themselves represented by them because they see no difference to the opposition. That is why the Green Party has done so well.

    The last election the SPD got more votes than everyone imagined and they still are not able to show Germany why they are a better choice.
