  • I have seen that they are developing that, but I didn't know they are using it. When I search for the same thing in I get different results, so maybe they are using different weights even if the index is the same?

  • Sipearl will most likely be a part of this initiative, they are designing CPUs. Their latest CPU is made on 6nm in Taiwan, but the design is in Europe. However, it is for servers so don't expect to buy CPUs from them.

  • I use Qwant on my PCs and Ecosia on my phone until I have decided which is best.

  • I assume he means that changing browser in the European Parliament is virtue signaling and that they could have done much more important changes.

Personally I hope that they plan for changes that makes an impact but that it takes time and they are announcing this and more small improvements/virtue signaling until the bigger things can be presented.

  • The company I work for had a pilot project for a while but recently they opened up for all users to order Github Copilot. Of course it is Github Copilot since everything else at the company is from Microsoft.

  • Is it a difference in privacy/security between Filen or Proton Drive and Jottacloud + local encryption before the files are uploaded?

  • It is subjective and the backpacks are not even the same model, but if someone who have experience from the backpack I'm looking for would have seen it they could perhaps provide some feedback. There is only one review at the site so it's not so much to go on.

  • Indeed, lets hope this is the first of many funds that can invest in European industry.

  • Have you had them for a long time? How is the quality? My current backpack must be 10 years and show wear and I want to replace it before I get holes in it. It's a cheap North face which I use it daily for commuting, short hikes and travels.

How is the ergonomics of your backpacks?

I have not really decided on the size of my new backpack, the current one is 26 liters. And I might go for something similar, like the 22 liters backpack, or I might go for one smaller and one bigger.

  • Good question, I have never tried any other OS than Android and Windows phone before it was stopped. However, I'm waiting for the Jolla phone and hope that Sailfish will be good. I would have tried a Linux based OS if any of my phones supported one.

  • Does anyone how any experience from Vaude's backpacks? I'm thinking about buying the Proof 22 multifunctional backpack, or something similar from Vaude or other brands, but it would be nice to hear from someone with experience from it.

  • Did you try later if it worked?

  • On step 4, it is possible to go to home/.steam/steam/steamapps/compactdata/ and run this command in the terminal

    ls --recursive | grep Rockstar

And it will output something like

    Rockstar Games./3613745575/pfx/drive_c/ProgramData/Rockstar Games: ./3613745575/pfx/drive_c/ProgramData/Rockstar Games/Launcher: Rockstar Games

Which means that the correct folder is 3613745575.

It worked for me with Proton 11.0 (Beta), I can log in and play games. First it didn't work but the launcher started after I restarted my computer. I updated the system and one of the updated programs was Wine, don't know if that is connected somehow. I also tried to install Rockstar Games Launcher on Heroic and Lutris but I couldn't get it to work. I have Nvidia if it matters.

  • Cool, Fairphone + Ubuntu touch seems like it would be a good combo. The only question mark is how well banking apps and other must have apps are working since they often have dependencies to Android or Iphone.

  • deGoogled Android is still an improvement for someone who have never considered anything else than Android or Iphone.

  • Fairphone can bought with Android or e/OS. On the e/OS site they say

/e/OS is a "deGoogled" version of Android OS

So a Fairphone with e/OS will still have a dependency to Google. It might be possible to use Fairphone with postmarketOS or something else that is based on Linux, I have not looked into it.

  • Ecosia and Qwant will cooperate and build their own search index.
