  • I left Reddit because of the API changes

I left Lemmy because it’s full of terrible memes and content

  • Truth.

    Jump
  • 2edgy4me

  • Ahh there it is

  • I left Reddit to escape bullshit like this

  • All of them.

    FFXIV, Steam Deck, ARAD

  • Introduced her using my ex girlfriends name

  • CREAM

  • Ruled?

  • I honestly feel like there is more engagement here. Most Reddit threads were like telling into the wind. By the time you got there it was almost always too late to contribute

  • The “hot” front page STILL has posts from days ago.

I give it 3 days before people cave and go back. People will always find a way to get their dopamine fix. If lemmy doesn’t have what they want, suffering through the shitty Reddit app will be a cakewalk compared to giving up the habit altogether

  • It’s a web app. Just follow the instructions to put it on your home screen and launch it from there.

  • This is honestly amazing and I cannot believe this hasn’t blown up yet. It is so close to the Apollo experience that I now have zero reason to stay on Reddit.

  • I also meant Memmy, not Mlem.

  • If something like this can pop up in weeks and provide all of the functionality people need, what makes Reddit valuable in the first place?

  • Reddit @lemmy.ml

With apps like Mlem on iOS, we are getting very close to an Apollo+Reddit experience. How can Reddit successfully monetize what are basically just forums? What makes it special anymore ?

  • Reddit @lemmy.ml

The type of grade A posts making it to the front page of r/all nowadays. This is some Facebook level crap

  • Safari

  • Reddit @lemmy.ml

r/Apple mods cave to spez’s threats and open the sub back up

    reddit.com /r/apple/comments/14al426/rapple_blackout_what_happened/
  • Bullshit. I’ve been using third party apps before the official one ever existed

  • I JUST read a post that spez said he’s not going to do that…

  • Wow! I’m genuinely shocked by this

  • Lemmy.World Announcements @lemmy.world

How can the fediverse scale and grow to large communities like Reddit without large infrastructure and servers? How can a non-profit driven platform afford to keep the lights on if this takes off?

  • Lemmy.World Announcements @lemmy.world

The front page of Lemmy is mostly posts from 2-4 days ago. I can see people getting bored/not bothering to check back if it's always the same posts on the default sort.

  • Reddit @lemmy.ml

Many subreddits coming back online and daily posts/comments appear to be returning. It is a little disappointing to see how little of an effect this actually had. What are your thoughts?

Has anyone tried squabbles.io yet? It might be my favorite of the Reddit alternatives so far!
