  • Again, train was probably there first, but is it the trains fault or the city planners for cutting off a community like that? I agree, that sounds incredibly dumb. I always joke and say "the people who make these decisions don't actually live here" so they have no idea what they are doing, but it's becoming less of a joke now

  • I guess you've never driven on highway 401 lol

  • I imagine the rail system existed before firetrucks were a thing, though, not sure where you're from. You have to hope they'd have a contingency plan for things like trains. Maybe a comms platform that told them not to go that way? (kinda like how Google maps will route you around a slower section of road)

I get it's frustrating, but it's definitely better than a hundred transport trucks

  • That wouldn't have anything to do with the train and would have everything to do with drivers.

  • I find it hard, but try some introspection to find what your mental and physical needs are (hobbies, bodily movement, experiencing nature, whatever it may be) and then see how you can meet those needs on your own.

Once you start to get a better grasp on yourself and your own needs without external validation, youll be closer to the zone of "happy on my own/loving yourself".

Then you can start to fit someone else into the picture, be it a romantic partner or more friends.

If you do have any close friends you know you can trust, lean on them. Tell them where you are mentally, and let them know they don't need to be there always, but when you're in the shits they will be better prepared to support you

And always remember, baby steps are still steps forward. (Also, if you have access to therapy/counseling, please reach out to someone professional)

  • Neat! So just more open development?

  • What does this mean to someone unfamiliar with these acronyms?

  • You'd have to be pretty fucking stupid to give a similar answer

  • At this point you have to be trolling or incredibly neurodivergent and unable to look past the word cold on a box. The latter is understandable. I'd suggest researching which specific ingredients may help allergies and why it might be included in other/similar medication. Consult a doctor if needed.

  • That's not the point. Just look for the medicinal ingredients that provide relief for your symptoms. It could be called cacapoopoo cold medicine, or super crazy allergy medicine #1 as long as it has the ingredients to treat the specific symptoms

  • The cold medicine is only called cold medicine because it treats symptoms from a cold. Which are similar if not the same as allergies.

You need antihistamines and decongestants to treat your allergy symptoms.

If a medicine has either of those, it can help you even if it's called Benadryl, Claritin or Advil.

  • JFC literally everyone has been saying cold medicine treats these symptoms and you just reply with "I don't want cold medicine". You've been given the answer. Cold medicine treats the same symptoms as your allergy. Just call it allergy medicine to yourself or something

  • Pretty sure that was their 'remaster'

Think about how you'll feel in 5 years looking back, and you'll appreciate waiting for the right person.

I'd recommend trying to have a mature conversation with Ben, and if it goes well, great! If not, then it's keeping Ben at an arms length and not letting them get closer. And advising the same for Beth.

As long as you try to stay cool headed, you shouldn't do something you'll regret later on in life. As long as Ben can have a mature conversation about relationships and "ownership" of relationships, and how language can hurt people's feelings (which is kindergarten shit, Ben...) you should be able to maintain a decent friendship. If you're cool about it, at least you can say if things go south it's Ben who is/was the problem.
