Each and every one of the creatures we descended from, stretching all the way back to the beginning of life on Earth, has survived by killing before being killed. We are the final product of a string of millions of killers.

  • This is really good info, thanks.

  • Just finished KPS. Kind of a comedy / sci-fi romp. Not too serious. Lots of friendship humor. Interesting story. Definitely not in same category as heinlein, etc. But I liked it. It was a lot lighter than I was expecting.

  • Good sci-fi, to me, is an idea or concept that makes you wonder and think "I never thought of that." It's good sci-fi, to me, if I find myself thinking about the ideas and concepts when NOT actively reading the book. It's about an idea that sounds plausible, not just complete BS. Like half truths with half fiction.

  • I read it. Even looked at firefish.social. I fail to see the difference. It's people posting and people replying just like here. Or do I need to actually sign up to see the differences? Or can some one elaborate, because this simply smells of advertisement.

  • More time to read novels before bed.

  • Money

  • Everyday.

  • Sounds like Poly Sci homework. How about you answer the questions and post them here.

  • By PC you mean non macOS? On my MacBook Air, it has a drive called iCloud. It's just a matter of dragging and dropping into a local drive.

I heard Apple might have the apps for Windows PCs now. I haven't investigated.

  • Me too. The volume pop-up seems to get disabled too. Exiting the app does not fix it. Have to go into Android settings and fiddle with it to get it back.

UPDATE: Seems the latest beta (1.0.97) has fixed this, at least on my Samsung S21 Ultra.

  • I never thought about that. That's a great idea.

  • Didn't Myers Brigg testing turn out to be pseudo science?

  • Murdered numerous workers, women, and children in the US for starting a union. Government let them do it with no repercussions. .

  • We learned to recognize a lot of them in college Philosophy 101.

  • It's evaporative cooling. Grew up with them. They're great. They aren't A/C. They don't worm when it too humid.

    Great for dry desert geography.

  • Invisibility, with ability to hide IR and sound and can make recording video cameras invisible too. I'd expose all the corrupt politicians, judges, and CEOs!

  • I think the majority are 40+.

Except for memes communities. They are 12.

  • They are appealing to the fallacy that hiding things means bad behavior.

Not true. There are plenty of good reasons to hide things. Social security numbers, income, bank account info, even personal preferences.

    Privacy != bad
