  • You can use quite a number of "underlying" distributions, it mainly depends on what you like (Arch-based ones, Debian-based ones, etc).

    As a desktop environment, have a look at XFCE or LXDE.

  • I tried that. Even after unsubscribing from everything I still get the announcement traffic. Which might als be a problem as the instance is on 0.17.4, while lemmy.world (which is sending most of them) is on the 8.18.1 RC train.
