I had the same experience with OSM maps years ago, but you've convinced me to give it another chance. I'm looking forward to seeing if it handles public transport in Vancouver as well as Google Maps does.
Could be, for sure. I may try to post some things from Lemmy.ca to Kbin later. I was successful in posting from Kbin to Lemmy.ca a few hours ago, so I wonder if there's a problem in the other direction.
I'm not particularly concerned with how "the kbin user base" looks or any silly tribalism like that tbh. I'm just wondering if/why the issue might be happening. If the string doesn't appear in the git repo, that's a useful data point for sure. But plenty of people are confirming that something is going on, so the questions as to 1) what is causing it and 2) why are still out there.
Gorsuch is a mixed bag at best on a lot of issues, but he has been as good as anyone could expect on Indigenous issues. Check out his concurrence in this case (starting on PDF page 43), which straightforwardly grapples with the history of forced family separations and residential schools.
(I'm partly kidding -- there are a ton of communities I'd like to see carry over from Reddit to here, but I don't bother because I don't have bandwidth to be a mod. So I get it. But if you have time, feel free to make the communities yourself!)
Definitely Civ VI for me as well. I'm stressed out by some work obligations lately, and nothing relaxes me more than coming home and sending some giant death robots to obliterate a few cities now and again.
If you're looking at the older ones, I've got a soft spot for Civ IV. The smooth dulcet tones of Leonard Nimoy reading historical quotes every few turns are always a plus.
