  • PayPal works for me. Maybe you can find a solution here: https://librewolf.net/docs/faq/ The easiest solution would probably be to use Firefox + uBlockOrigin for banking and LibreWolf for everything else. Otherwise you can find user-made "about:config" files to harden Firefox' security and privacy.

  • Mate, I literally said I am an atheist myself. If you don't know what I am talking about just google "r/atheism cringe posts".

  • As I said, I am non-religious / an atheist myself. Was raised christian, but my parents were cool with me being an atheist, later becoming non-religious themselves. What I was mainly referring to are the people actively trying to make fun of - or belittling - religious people. Edit: I am all for criticizing and making fun of organized religion.

  • Arch Linux, LibreWolf & KeepassXC are the first that come to mind.

  • Reminds me of my edgy teenage atheist phase :) Now I don't even want to be associated with atheists, even though I am still non-religious.

Btw, are you on the subreddit r/2westerneurope4u ?

  • Here are three options that come to mind:

If you don't want to sell your app:

    • Open-source your project. This will also allow people to review the code, add suggestions and help with programming. (IMO this is the most realistic option)

If you do want to sell your app:

    • Ask your family and / or friends to test your app. Assuming they have no experience in programming, this will only test the graphical interface, user experience and find surface level bugs.

    • Give beta testers incentive to test your app. Either by giving them a small cut of the revenue your app makes or just pay them a fixed amount.

  • I have also used MSG to reduce both fat and salt in the meals I cook. A big reason I asked this question is that I wanted to know if there is a legitimate reason I should tell people that the food I cooked for them contains glutamate. Because the reaction is often similar to your sisters. And guess what, if I don't tell them, nobody is experiencing any form of side effects.

  • You are right. All it took was 10 seconds for me to google. I am an idiot. What is true however is that it is much more dangerous when ingested orally. All my nicotine shots (for ecigs) carry the typical "skull" warning symbol, with the advice to call a doctor if you accidentally swallow some.

  • "Food allergy symptoms are caused by the interaction between a food allergen and an antibody known as IgE (immunoglobulin E). To diagnose a food allergy, your allergist may use a skin prick test (SPT) to measure the presence of IgE antibodies for the suspect food. SPTs are inexpensive, produce immediate results, and can be performed in the doctor’s office."

  • True. I guess nicotine is a good example of this. When delivered directly into the bloodstream (via inhalation or a nicotine patch) it is an addictive stimulant. When ingested orally it is poisonous.

  • Reuters and the Associated Press are probably the most neutral and trustworthy news agencies.

Edit: My bad, they aren't news aggregators, I still highly recommend them, though.

  • Take a skin-prick allergy test and you"ll have proof.

  • I would recommend taking a skin-prick allergy test to make sure it isn't anything else causing these symptoms.

  • The difference is that glutamate is produced by our bodies naturally. Alcohol (Ethanol) is not. It is literally poison to every human, which is why the liver takes a lot of damage when removing it from your body.

  • Babies are also ingesting large amounts of glutamate when being breastfed. Which is why I believe 99.99...% of glutamate "intolerance" / "allergies" are caused by the nocebo-effect.

  • We should just give Bavaria to the Austrians.

  • Asklemmy @lemmy.ml

Wouldn't people who claim glutamate (MSG) allergies immediately die, since it's also a neurotransmitter?

  • Being blown to bits by an explosion.
