People that try to run scams often fall under the same profile as people that steal for the thrill of it. It's all about pulling one over on someone else, and the bonus is you get money out of the effort.
Trump gets paid a living wage, yet he still scams everyone on Earth. So right there your theory falls apart.
Big question is what is "too hot"? Croatia or Turkey in June would be toasty. You can also look at the Aegean side of Greece. Beyond being hot, June and August both are when these places empty out or get absolutely filled up for the summer. Personally, I would suggest looking more around the Balkans and seeing if there's something you like and renting a car to drive between places. Beaches in NE Greece, hot springs in Bulgaria? Beaches in Montenegro, shopping in Belgrade? You get that Ottoman history anywhere you go. Maybe look at flying into one city and flying out of another.
Turkey is solid, but beaches might be some internal flights or long drives from IST. Just beware of scams and hustles from every direction.
Scotland in June is beautiful, the question would be if you can actually find a place to stay. It's a short summer so things book up quickly and expensively. Water is always freezing.
Dominican Republic on the Semana peninsula? Panama?

Sure, an administration that follows the law might agree with this interpretation.
My point is that the government has authority to act and individuals have to sue to fight it. I'm not saying that revoking a visa over unpaid child support is a correct interpretation, or even "right" in a subjective moral sense. I'm saying it's within the NSPM-7 definition of what they can do to act first and let objectively shitbag people sue them to undo it.
Sorry, but just so I understand - what exactly was the "misinformation"? I'm not clear on what was either objectionable or incorrectly claimed to be untrue.
For anyone salty about the fact that a government owns your passports, I don't have time to dig out a hundred statutes, but can you can refer to
FWIW, the incubation period for Andes virus, which is the specific strain from the cruise ship, is roughly 2-3 weeks, but can be as long as 33 days in some cases.
Transmission is only possible while a person is symptomatic. COVID's worst aspect was it was transmissible for days before a person would present with symptoms.
Most of the MAGA base don't have passports because they are isolationists filled with fear and can't imagine the terror of going on a trip somewhere that requires a passport. A passport being required to vote would disproportionately affect Republicans. Possibly by orders of magnitude.
You, maybe.
