  • There is a terrible misconception that there must be a point at which you stop enjoying things because it is improper, but at a certain point fuck the haters and enjoy the ride because none of us get out alive.

  • My father is like that, always trying to argue against someone's preference as if it will change. At one point I discovered he HATES the idea of flavored coffee, instead of just straight black, and I got to have a field day throwing the entire list of arguments right back at him in rapid succession.

  • I say the same despite only speaking English because I once read it was less like blessing someone and more like saying "keep your demons to yourself." I now believe that is inaccurate, but it does make for a story.

  • I started sleeping with rain sounds years ago because I would always hyperfixate on every little noise. The wobbling tone of the ceiling fan was enough to keep me awake some nights. I've played my usual setup for people and it's always too quiet for them to near, but it's louder than every creak and pop of the house. The track I picked was based on what actual rain sounds like outside my window.

  • I use it daily, but as a replacement for smart device integrations. For example, my alarm plays music while the lights come on to prevent me from going back to sleep. I used to do that with Google Home, now I do it with Music Assistant.

    Also, keep it at hand. A refillable bottle is worth investing in. If you like it ice cold, get a vacuum insulated vessel.
