  • But at least not US made, it’s Canadian.

  • Another one bites the dust.

  • Banh Mi is such a nice sandwich! Looks great!

  • Kinda similar to musks LOC requirement. But at least with NVIDIA this idea directly correlates with more business if it spreads beyond the company

  • It’s a really good feeling when you eventually come around to fixing the thing that bugs you all the time. Nice!

  • I think this just comes down to human nature. Give people (engineers, execs) a metric that looks like a good proxy for performance and they will overcommit on that metric as it is a safer bet than thinking outside the box. I think the incremental improvements in deep learning with all those benchmarks are a similar situation.

  • That’s why we need rules and regulation around gatekeeper platforms like iOS and android. If both demand 30% there is no choice not to pay in certain circumstances.

  • Looks great!

  • I understand your sentiment as I am annoyed by similar issues. But the wireless in ear headphones also changed a lot how we use them. I guess it’s similar for glasses. People will appreciate the auto focus but will inevitably complain if batteries run out or glasses malfunction.

  • As long as the heat dissipation still works correctly this way

    Mail provider current status?

  • Especially since ai is just treated as outsourcing 2.0

  • How would you handle LFS in this setup?

  • Why do you need a domain on an internet facing dns if you can just define it with your local dns? Unless you want to access your services via internet, in which case you would need a public ip.

  • From what I’ve read gitea is a fork of gogs and forgejo is a gitea fork so I should get similar benefits right?

  • But that means that the database is running on nfs, right? I read that this is not recommended due to locking issues and roundtime latency.

  • Selfhosted @lemmy.world

    Advice for git setup

  • Carrots and hummus work for me sometimes. Haven’t found any other non-sweet snack that can substitute sweet snacks though.

  • Can serve as emergency power though. Something you would have to add anyway with a serious setup.

  • Still want to try rust but in my field it’s just not established enough unfortunately. But I love the idea of the language.

  • Just wanted to say something similar. Any low latency high frequency code is written in c++, c or assembler. And that’s engineers work usually.
