  • It was quite possible to make sure there was zero fuel onboard. Fuel will float and make a large slick that could be spotted from the air. Assuming part of this was to make sure that it would be as difficult as possible to find. This would be in line.

  • Honestly this just feels like fear mongering at this point. Yes Boeing is having some serious issues. Issues that are 100% of its own making and were avoidable. But that doesn't mean that every minor incident with every flight is indicating some major issue with air travel safety.
