Worked several jobs, including in a nursing home. Got thyroid cancer and the treatment caused me to have a stroke and many other health issues. Thanks to the stroke I'm now partially sighted, can't walk properly and can no longer work. Also have chronic foot infections and migraines. NHS treatment is so awful it has made my health worse rather than better. My local pharmacist tells me I'm a drain on the NHS because my medications cost so much. Got awarded disability benefits until 2028, but still waiting for the backpay and payments to start. Absolutely penniless and in debt.

  • Probably just too ashamed.

  • Older generations were brought up with the idea that it's shameful to receive help, but we need to do away with that idea, especially as wealth gets more and more concentrated in the hands of a few and there's less for the rest of us.

  • They want to deport immigrants, repeal human rights laws, destroy the NHS, give tax cuts to the wealthy, get rid of all climate protection policies, implement mass stop-and-search, introduce a "patriotic curriculum" in schools, ban "transgender ideology," oppose "woke content," protect landlords, reduce abortion access, repeal equality diversity and inclusion, restrict LGBTQ+ rights, and propose a "hardline, nationalist and socially conservative agenda."

  • I have never thought an alliance with the US means anything other than the UK being its bitch.

  • Thanks for the tip.

  • A 17p discarded bottle which now wasn't going to be sold anyway is more important than a person's life and livelihood.

  • There are already lots of stories online about homeless people sleeping in their cars being moved on by the police, so I think there will. It['s sick how humanity spends all of it's creative power making life worse for others instead of coming up with ways to make things better for everyone.

  • Where are you getting £30 emergency dental care?

  • I've read that tooth decay/unclean mouth can lead to Alzheimers.

  • Apparently he'd worked for the royal family for 30 years and even lived on their Sandringham estate.

  • Very good point.

  • Considering how the assessors go out of their way to deny people, I can't imagine how they'd start wanting to help people. For instance when explaining my vision loss to an assessor and how it makes it difficult for me to do things like cross the road safely, she said that I could just walk around constantly rotating my head in a circle to get a full range of vision, so the vision loss is no excuse for needing extra help. She also wrote on my form that I can see perfectly with glasses. After I had clearly explained to her that glasses do not restore missing vision. They are all just evil liars and frauds.

  • That is probably it.

  • yes, but I don't understand what the end goal is. If they just want rid of us, they could legalise assisted suicide. For some reason they're trying to turn everyone against us, keep us alive and starve us at the same time.

  • It doesn't surprise me, since becoming disabled I've learnt just how utterly despised we are, people genuinely believe we're just lazily living off other peoples' money while having a great time, and they resent having to get up and go to work each day to pay for us.
