The landscaping company my HOA contracts with is having trouble finding people to do the work, after, of course, many of their employees were rounded up.
My idiot neighbors are whining about how their yards look like shit, because the landscapers aren't coming around once a week, like they used to. The same idiot neighbors who urge everyone to "vote red" and are absolutely certain that only "illegal" immigrants are being "deported".
We all could if we started early enough. I didn't get a language class option until high school, and by then it was almost too late. Americans should be taught English and Spanish in school from the first day of kindergarten. But, for now that's a pipe dream, American public schools are a complete disaster at the moment.
I left Amazon 10 years ago. I try to buy direct from manufacturer's websites, for instance, I just ordered a pocket hole jig from Vevor. I've never not gotten something because Amazon was the only source, that's not a thing as far as I can tell. Everything Amazon sells can be bought elsewhere online, sometimes for less.
I've written two, too-long fiction books. After the second one, I realized I only have one story to write, and can't think of anything else. I tried to start a third one, and it's just turning into the same story--everything I like. So, I think I'm done writing.
As a stinkin' casual, I never watched Enterprise, but I'm glad y'all brought it up. I think I'll go back and watch it now. I've been short on things to watch. I'm watching You're the Worst because Stormfront is in it, for instance (not bad, btw).
While I understand, and would probably join them if I could, it also occurs to me that the people the world needs in this country, to enact change, are the ones who are leaving.
I can only imagine wherever they move to, the people there might feel the same way about them.
"Food is not reward, food is not entertainment" became my mantra.
It's macadamia nuts for me. If I have a 3 lb. bag of macadamia nuts, I'm eating a 3 lb. bag of macadamia nuts. Fortunately, they're expensive, so I just don't get them anymore. It's much easier to not buy them, than to not eat them.
