  • If you have your settings setup to not show read posts, then it won’t show your own posts to you.

  • At first I thought that was someone posting on lemmy… freaked me out, and I started looking for how to ban the content. 😂😂

  • This was totally expected, given the design and par for the course for a first generation product. The yield should increase as the design is refined over several iterations.

  • I was spending easily 2-4 hours a day scrolling through my feed on Reddit, it impacted me in so many ways that I didn’t see at the time.

Now? I’m enjoying a quick pop in on Lemmy and find myself enjoying my time away from the scrolling for content. I’m enjoying moderating a community and the definite lack of trolls at the moment.

Here’s to hoping this atmosphere continues for the foreseeable future!

  • 1000%!

I actually created a community for a hobby of mine, and have been trying to post and comment more.

  • Yep I created a community for faceting gemstones, and am still the only one posting. Got some interactions, but no content besides mine. I’ll keep at it though, the eternal optimist that I am. 😉😂

  • Lots of new updates to @mlemapp , including a compact mode. I am quite happy. #lemmy

    Jump
  • Delete and reinstall fixed it! 😁

  • Good idea, I’ll work on a write up with pics.

  • Argh! Thanks, fixed the link.

I generally buy the rough from dealers or gem shows. My bucket list has a couple of line items to visit some mines and buy direct.

  • Same! It feels great!

  • Wait. Is twitter still a thing? 😉
