  • Depende o uso Meower.

  • I don't know what is ArcoLinux neither ErikDubois.

I'm assuming the distro is free so I can use Claude for free unlimited right? It'd really a shame if my distro comes with some built in thing that I need to pay to keep using.

  • I want to believe in you, but if you don't elaborate it'll feel just some low effort bait.

  • Is it some bait? I didn't get it. What are you trying to say with this post.

  • I saw the trailer and coming from the same creator of Bioshock it seems good, his imagination is truly amazing. They released that banger OST in the first trailer, nobody knows the name, probably some exclusive song.

  • I don't know about your country, but here doctors don't give a single fuck, they give you generic diagnoses and send you home.

  • Thanks for sharing your opinion. It gives me a little of hope.

Sometimes I afraid of being part of a sick savage society who doesn't understand the complexity behind the human mind. I don't want to make part of this alone, comments like yours make me think I'm not alone here. So thank you.

I'm just seeing all the down votes and maybe I'm over estimating the average Lemmy user, I'd expect this savage feedback from Reddit but not here. But it seems the average Lemmy user aren't that different in the end.

Humanity is sick, people are so worried about making money that they don't want to deal with complex individuals.

  • That's the hard truth my friend, I agree 100% with this.

  • Norwegian criminal system reform is a good example.

In Norwegian crime recidivism fell to 20% compared to 50% on UK and 60-70% on US.

...Barefoot murderers, rapists and drug smugglers practise downward-facing dog and the lotus position alongside their prison officers...

"Not 'guards'," admonishes Hoidal gently, when I use the term. "We are prison 'officers' and of course we make sure an inmate serves his sentence but we also help that person become a better person. We are role models, coaches and mentors. And since our big reforms, recidivism in Norway has fallen to only 20% after two years and about 25% after five years. So this works!"

I'm just saying. We're all lost santient beings in that giant rock with illusion of control, we don't know everything and I dare to say the weight of death sentence to an actual mentally ill person is tough, even when it comes to rape crime.

  • Ask Lemmy @lemmy.world

Why does the common sense is to punish rape with death/torture?

  • But even if the post is 15 days old?

  • /e/OS is just LineageOS with their own customization and integration.

There's nothing really ground breaking about "degoogling" on /e/OS.

There's this "tracker blocking" feature they provide but you'll achieve the very same with any DNS Filter. And I think in /e/OS case you can't customize the block lists.

They also provide an app store which integrates F-droid and Play Store together, you can just use Aurora + F-Droid on LineageOS.

Not sure if it's really worth it, I tried here on my phone and I didn't see anything interesting and different from what you'd achieve with other custom ROMs.

Maybe their support will be better since they compromise on maintaining the OS and fixing issues.

  • It's just a finger, everybody has one

  • If Android dies soon then Linux phones will certainly get more popular. But if Android doesn't get completely closed then Linux phones will be just forgotten by most people.

This is mostly for myself, but if I develop anything I'd provide as open-source. Currently I'm using a custom ROM and if things stay open and reliable for custom ROMs in the next years, then I'd just stick with it.

Even Linux desktop is sometimes problematic after all these years, imagine Linux android then...

  • Android @lemmy.world

Is it worth to learn native Android development given the current uncertain state of Android?

  • I don't think so. It's just a normal custom ROM, like Lineage or CrDroid. But they implement these features for non-Pixel devices which is great.
