  • What I’m getting from this is that the AMOC at some point as it loses stability is going to pop quickly from its current state into another stable state. That as opposed to it just slowly declining forever. Because of this the pop might catch us off guard.

    Let me know if you have a different interpretation. It’s not the densest science, but it’s still pretty dense for me.

  • He has said that the song is as if he were writing from the perspective of a character.

    In the context of his larger body of work which constantly points the spotlight on the different types of predators in society I think it’s reasonable to assume that it is another critique. Personally for me it evokes a Hollywood director who prefers child stars or a fashion exec eagerly producing booty shorts for children.

    The way the song sounds it is very clear that he thinks of this person as a villain.
