Newpipe is perfect for me, been using it for months, now when I want to watch a video, I don't wind up watching whatever, I have a more purposeful experience.

I like; 99% Invisible & Radio Lab, those are my main 2, i also listen to Malicious Life & some others I can't think of right now.
I'd drop a note, to avoid the awkward conversation that might happen & to avoid embarrassing your neighbour.
