  • Thanks, I will look at it. If I am being honest I didn't expect answers so quickly as I have looked before but didn't get any great results. I am away for a week so will have to look when I get back. Thank again.

  • Thanks, I think I had messed around with MX a few years ago, but never even thought about it/forgot this time. I will download it now.

  • Thanks I will try that. I thought Debian had stopped x86_32 builds. I will definitely try that. 👍

  • Thanks, I will definitely be giving them a try. I meant to look at FreeBSD about 15 years ago and was stumped. I have glanced at it over the years since, but never tried it again. I will definitely look at them. Thanks again.

  • Thanks, will have a look at that option. I haven't even dipped my toes into compiling, but have looked over posts and tutorials in the past.

  • Thanks, I will add that. I thought that they had stopped support for x86_32. Happy to be wrong.

  • Thanks, I haven't ever heard of it, I will definitely add that to try, thanks.

  • Thanks, I created a Ventoy stick with the distros above, and the only one that I can get to run is AntiX. Puppy (Noble _ Bookworm) get the same error as this person (ventoy: not a valid block device), so I will read through that thread. The DSL doesn't respond and Command Line halt error. I think the others were the same. So I am on my 3rd OS creating a bootable USB from ISO, and so far no others have worked either. It may end up AntiX the only option, although I have seen others mention Gentoo - which I thought had stopped support for x86, and a couple of others to try, so I look forward to them :) MX, Q4OS, OpenBSD and Debian.

  • If he's in the EU can he not get arrested? I thought there was an EU-wide arrest warrant in his name for war crimes? Or have I just made that up? I never double checked. It was something I've just thought existed. Obviously not..

  • If you are looking for it on Torrents etc. And not the physical copy, I know it's available on torrentio or for via Stremio. I was looking for something else and watched a bit of it as it came up in the results..I didn't see what site it was cached from, but definitely available there, I was using RD.

Edit - besttorrents, magnetdl, rutracker all have it

  • Is it safe to assume that every single author (apart from the ones that cannot prove their works were in any of those archives at the time) can sue meta for plagiarism and theft?

  • That's far too long. They could try and turn it into a ditty for an advert, but it wouldn't look great on their merch.

  • Often because they're profiting from it themselves.

  • He said 'until it's unaffordable' I guess he's using reserves like the way the US does on weapons and military, some of which isn't even for them.

He's investing in what he believes is a profitable investment. I'm guessing that he has financial advice from people that have studied this to a level that can understand it better than most people, and consider it a sound investment. With the intention at the other end being to use for the country. Everything accounted for, nothing going into senators back pockets, could be used to boost their health service and hospitals and whatever else. With countries less built up currently looking more favourable in the future, they're already in a good position.

  • I think many will forget. Meanwhile the rest of us that continue to use Lemmy, can hopefully mirror a load of the more popular communities, even if they have a very low numbers of moderators. That way, if there ever is another protest, many will be able to blend into their favourite communities without missing a beat. May even stay here. I think if the communities exist, even if it's just the basics, more users will come and stay.
