    Do you think that in the future, body-cameras on people will become as common as dash-cameras on cars?

  • Nothing would really surprise me. I am fascinated by that Black Mirror episode where they have cameras in their eyes and can play back anything they've ever seen, or download/stream for others to see. Even this seems totally plausible eventually.

  • I listened to hair bands (Motley Crue, Poison, Warrant) at that age so I certainly can't judge anyone!

  • Discovering Metallica (this was when the black album came out, so they were suddenly everywhere) and getting into their previous 4, now classic, albums definitely filled a need in me when I was a teen.

While I'd been super into music from the time I was 12, my ability to appreciate it both more granularly (noticing more details, like you said) and viscerally (as it helped me become less uptight) increased dramatically when I started smoking bud (right after graduating high school, which I think I'm grateful I held off til then, although I'm now an ent for 25 years as of this month! Totally insane...)

  • That is an amazing song. My favorite Jimi song is Bold as Love. Such a good vibe. (And it's the perfect album closer). I love when music gives me chills, it doesn't seem to happen nearly as much as it used to, though. I wonder if that's a part of getting older. I still love finding a new song or artist to love of course, but when it really hits you on a visceral level it's a whole 'nother level.

  • That is totally a win. I love being able to humblebrag to my kids' friends that I saw Radiohead a couple of times on their Kid A tour. Knowing my dad saw Sly and the Family Stone in concert kind of blows my mind.

  • That album became overplayed for me unfortunately, but I remember what an experience those first listens were. I was older, though. It's cool that you connected with such a musical trip at such a young age.

  • I love this! I never heard of the artist or album. Looking at the cover, I can see why you were drawn to it! It's so wonderfully bizarre... I remember being wowed to learn that my dad had seen Zeppelin in concert a few times. It was like he'd been in the presence of a god!

  • I don't know, Pour Some Sugar on Me is pretty timeless despite it's cheese. Can't argue with that chorus! Curious, how old were you?

  • What a beautiful description of those beautiful moments! 💗 I wish I had tried theater. I think it can really help kids to develop social and communication skills, as well as confidence.

  • Bubble Guppies. The songs are legit bops. I Sent You a Letter, Bunch of Bones, Go Down to a Restaurant, Long Time Ago, Super Super Supermarkets, Ocean Animals, the list goes on. I love the hooks, harmonies, production, etc. I challenge anyone to name songs catchier than these.

    Also, Preschool Popstars. Juice Box, Wait Until I Cook It, Daycare Dance Party. Super fun, funny, and great production.

    Lots of great classic Sesame Street songs. In particular, they had two disco albums that my kids and I have dance parties to. One of the Bee Gees produced one of them. Neither album has any skips. I also love the song I've Got Two---Susan could sing!

    We love Disney soundtracks, and one of our favorites is The Princess and the Frog, very jazzy New Orleans tunes.

  • I'm excited to see my two teenage daughters perform together in their theater camp production in a couple of weeks. Seeing my girls growing up so fast can be bittersweet, and I relish these moments when they are so clearly full of joy for what they are doing. They will even have a duet together!
