Trying my hardest to be civil in this uncivilised world.

  • Probably more due to their geographical advantages compared to their European peers and other non-ideological factors... but I'm not a WW2 history buff, TBF.

  • Anglo Saxons are loud and have main character syndrome, then? 😅 I have a feeling Aussies don't, and most Americans I've met have actually been sort of ashamed of saying they're from the States and overall sweet, lol, so the world might be healing.

  • If he was a good father and person overall, I would assume he had valid reasons. If I were less emotionally stable and more impulsive, I might have a little angry rant before reaching that realization.

  • Only someone really disturbed/immature/confused would do something like that. If it happened to you, I'm sorry, I empathise. Not having a decent father is almost a meme at this point with how common it is in some circles, but this goes way further.

  • It would become remarkably better, assuming they also don't inherit my attachment issues, childhood trauma, and compromised emotional management (unless, of course, they also inherited my intelligence and knowledge, and were all lucky enough somehow to find a loving and patient partner, lol). Since they would all be their own persons with their own interests, strengths and weaknesses, it would be alright, but a world with just me in all ways would be a boring, gray disaster. 🙃😅

  • Usually our own perceptions, but sometimes reality too.

  • I'm more of a "it's an excellent game but it only gets going 5-8 hours in" guy, and the first game that comes to mind in this category is Persona 3 (all versions). I can't do TV shows unless they're heavy on the information load/words per minute (The Thick of it, for example), else my mind starts drifting away. 🙃

  • Could you rephrase it? I'm slightly confused. Unless they're neurodivergent/mentally ill/Finnish(?), people love to socialize and yapping is a big part of that. Or do you think "eventually" people will just give monosyllabic answers when talked to and barely interact? Why?

  • Eid Mubarak. ✌️

  • Woah, now that's a perk I'd love to have, especially when rent is like a third of my paycheck!

In my case, I have a lot of free time during my shifts so I've been able to study and finish my uni assignments at work. 👍

  • It's not like in the absence of priests and organised religion in the West (since at least the days of Nietzsche) people were existential intellectuals trying to understand the deeper things in life, lol. As you can see, they just become hedonistic degenerates and/or money-worshipping freaks... and now, if they seek guidance, all they have is Elon bots. 🙃😭

But, TBF, there were always at least a couple flies in the ointment of Roman Catholicism (and all offshoots, ofc; and please don't get mad dear believers, I wish there was a less triggering way to say what I'm about to say), being a state-religion created by the Western imperialistic hegemon after they kidnapped and murdered the local anti-imperialist religious and political leader that sought reform, by co-opting his image, making him an anthropomorphic deity a la Zeus, placing him in a tripartite pantheon and then mostly going along with "faith without works is valid" Paul (John Brown is the antithesis of this, even within the fold of the church, because he actually read the Bible and understood the overall themes and lessons, and believed in God and righteousness in earnest... but not everyone is a brave, selfless and almost compulsively moral student of scripture, ofc) and "your sins are forgiven if you believe in all this anthropomorphic deity crap" nonsense. Basically, it was always cooked, and there's nothing in the Western civilization's toolbox to fix it.

Believe it or not, you will need to at least understand belief and not just "information about this world processed through the senses" to even consider morality in earnest, think civilizationally long-term, and shape a society that one can be proud to be part of. Only in this context can we have some "ground rules" instead of moral relativism in order to build something on stable terrain instead of quicksand. But we'll see where the Western civilizational project leads to, especially if resources become as scarce and life is as uncomfortable as it is in the rest of the world... we all know you'll go full Mad Max (things aren't even bad and OF is popping!), so it's better to start changing things in advance.

  • Your mind is warped by nonsense and wind. We're not talking ideology here, not OP nor anyone else. Btw, are you healthy heterosexual man post puberty? You might not understand what is truly being discussed here, which is biology and its psychosocial consequences.

  • Two very good points, professor! 👌

  • You misread me or I didn't express myself correctly: all the horny goes into your partner and you're kinda zen mode more often than not. There's probably some "love chemicals" involved too, idk. As someone who has had enough casual (and paid 🫣) sex to know how empty it can be, love making in earnest is just a different, more fulfilling experience in all ways.

  • On the self release Vs sex aspect: cumming from wanking and cumming from fucking are two very different experiences, the latter being much more pleasurable and also kinda draining your desire for longer. TMI: If my wife's not around I can probably go for three wanks a day, but she kills for me half a day at least if not more, lol. So yeah, you're not out in the world thinking about it.

  • Which part did you find untrue or disagree with? That testosterone increases libido and has a complex, very impactful role in male sexual function? That men (everyone but we're talking about OP, a horny young man) must control their urges not to hurt anyone? Or that being in love, in a committed relationship with someone you respect and value, will make you less horny?

  • If you're a heterosexual man you're probably gonna find most/a good chunk of women until they're in their 40s attractive to very attractive and have some natural bodily reaction to it. That's just how it is, that's how we became billions. A man must control his horny and his angry, that's our responsibility, at the very least their expressions, in order to remain moral and prosocial. One thing I can say is that, if you're in love and getting busy often with your one and only, you stop being so sexually obsessed with other women, in a very deep and perhaps biological level. That's what I've found out at least, and I've been with my lady for a little over a decade now and all of my friends except two very good lads are women. I've never crossed a boundary nor have I even wanted to. 🤷👍

So, don't worry, you're just a horny young (late 20s is young) man because of the hormones, if anything it's healthy, it's how our ancestors had to be to get out of the caves. Focus on love, find your one and it'll kinda go away. ✌️

  • When I talk about faith and righteousness in the West, this is more or less what I picture. RIP, king. 🙏

  • With all the arguments and data, calmly and thoroughly too. It's kinda spooky. 😅
