  • Just speculating here, but 60 year olds probably don't have a lot of epic adventures or sexy romances.

  • Surprised he didn't paint it orange with gold accents.

  • Nobody loses money like trump

  • I suppose I never got that far into the show. After the scene where Billy Bob portrays himself as an expert on why windmills don't work, I just about threw my remote at the TV. It's just plain lies. Viewers took it as truth.

"Do you have any idea how much diesel they have to burn to mix that much concrete?

"Or make that steel and haul this s*** out here and put it together with a 450-foot crane? You want to guess how much oil it takes to lubricate that f****** thing, or winterize it? In its 20-year lifespan, it won't offset the carbon footprint of making it.

"And don't get me started on solar panels and the lithium in your Tesla battery.

"And never mind the fact that if the whole world decided to go electric tomorrow, we don't have the transmission lines to get the electricity to the cities. It would take 30 years if we started tomorrow."

  • For some reason I read State of Fear recently. At the end of the book he wrote page after page of why he thought global warming wasn't real.

I can't recall the exact language he used, but he said something to the effect of "we shouldn't use any global warming protections until we can exactly predict the weather for ten years. If we can't predict the weather precisely, the obviously we can't prove global warming is real."

Aside from being full of misleading and cherry picked data. The book was terrible. The whole thing read like a bad science lesson from a second rate conspiracy theorist.

If you really want to vomit from propaganda masquerading as entertainment, watch Landman.

  • It depends on what you're voting for. The House of representatives is based on your district, not your state as a whole. There are some very oddly shaped districts to take advantage of this.

For anyone that doesn't understand what gerrymandering is:

    1. Imagine your favorite soccer team scores however many goals in a season. Now you have the power to reallocate those goals amongst whatever games you want. Instead of losing some games 3-1 and winning some 4-0 you win every single game 2-1, except you lose one game 40-0. Still the same number of goals, but your record is significantly different. Now do this with votes by district.

    2. Different districts get different voting support. There are areas that the line to vote is very long. Sometimes hours. This isn't an accident. Some people just don't have time, capacity, or the effort to spend half of their day voting.

For example: Georgia banned giving water to people waiting in line to make conditions worse.

  • Could we say that technically Australia created him? Rupert Murdoch is the devil.

  • The crate is the dog's safe space, not a punishment. If I need my dog to be in her crate, I reward her when she goes inside.

There are also hand motions to go with common commands like 'sit'. I've found this makes it easier for a dog to understand me.

  • I think I've seen this episode of Stranger Things. Don't let that thing reach maturity.

  • You could always start by teaching English in another country. I recall that it pays quite well and is in demand in many countries. The requirements are also very low.

As for learning another language. You get better at it when you're around it constantly.

  • Oh no, you couldn't possibly take out all of the AI data centers. That would be so awful for the shareholders.

  • US military spending is already ~40% of global military spending, which is an insane number. Halving that budget could fix so many problems.

  • Most of them are probably 18 years old, poorly educated, and raised on Fox News. They're just pawns that have no idea what's going on.

Congress on the other hand, knows exactly what they're doing, and has no moral qualms.

  • Pretty sure that kid's arm would hang down to his ankle if he straightened it. Must be all those atomic wafers.

  • Elect one of the dumbest most brazen idiots on the planet. Be shocked when the world goes to shit.

  • Odds are Keychron has what you need.

    ...Or at least close enough.

  • Always something very challenging. Not something beyond comprehension, but a song that I can pick away at. I don't often push myself, but when I do, the results are obvious.

Anyway, Eugene's trick bag was a big one for me. It's not a song, per say, just a (Steve Vai) solo used to defeat the devil in an eighties movie.

Glass Prison has some similar arpeggio shapes.

Trying out different genres of music is also eye opening. I can play basic to advanced rock stuff easily. A little jazz or classical and my brain melts. To that end "las abejas" and "fly me to the moon" were like learning a foreign language. I don't particularly like the latter, but it definitely showed me just how little I know.

Best of luck. Keep pushing yourself.

  • I was waiting for a punchline involving an sand or the letter 's'... Still good though
