  • Not sure if you can blame a country for building up more military when another country was busy attacking Venezuela, is attacking Iran alongside a fairly scary religio-fascist state, and possibly Cuba in the future.

  • So much for beauty sleep...

  • Poor tree

  • That's more a tax management issue, say for example the congestion charge in London brings in millions of revenue and ideally it should be driven towards green energy we'd hope.

  • Hmm...sounds like a familiar story from a history lesson I was in. Except it involved a brick wall of an extermination camp.

  • It needs restricted flows and entry tax which contributes to say...reducing the burden on existing tourism businesses when they take a hit from low sales. Been there before, it's way too busy and lacks the romance of old.

  • Chocolate gateaux instead of dessert plateau?

  • I mean, to be fair the water pipe analogy is pretty good as the pressure performs work done per unit volume, and voltage is work done per unit charge which takes up a specific volume of the wire.

But you're right, with A.C. that analogy gets complicated unless supposedly you had water going back and forth in the pipe, but that is still transmitting energy like a wave does.

  • Was scrolling through and another news article something like 30 minutes after first reports coming out reported 14 dead. Someone said 'it's only been 30 minutes' and here we are.

  • I never write my full name anyway, just my first name.

  • Some also hate my explanation too, they probably think if you put heat into water, it stays there for perpetuity.

Deserts are a great example of what happens when there's barely any (greenhouse gas) water in the atmosphere.

  • I think you got downvoted because of the misunderstanding of the heat you are referring to which is heat = wind power and light = solar power

  • In thermodynamics, this is the heat goes in, heat goes out. Also temperature higher, more heat goes out.

And CovfefeKills is right. Heat from the sun is orders of magnitude higher than a little bitty data centre. And that heat gets re-radiated to space. It's all balanced. Except for when you put more heat absorbing gases into the atmosphere which include increasing levels of evaporating water. All to power and cool current data centres.

  • You're not perceiving the picture correctly, the stub-looking thing on the left for docking is around a foot high. The side of the canal is at least 4 feet and the middle at least 7 feet deep. Mobile camera lens do not give adequate perception, as such, like with taking a photo of the moon.

  • An organic heat shield for spacecraft then.

  • I think I gather from this that predictable strings are sort of reversible to hashes.

For stuff like SQL databases, I suppose I would personally would generate completely random passwords locally on my PC.
