    caveat for the electric motor that only supports you pedaling and up to speeds of X with Watts of Y and all but yeah, that's a bicycle.

    I don't even think this is amazon skirting regulations, unless you up-end the entire system you can't really define a bicycle any better. There should be more bicycles like this.

  • I swear to god biometric security has to be one of those topics with the largest dissonance between how the general public views it and how experts view it because every expert guide recommends you never do any of it. Even removed from bypassing it with some makeup or an A4 printout of a finger print held at a bit of a distance overriding most of these systems you're still stuck at it's really hard to change your biometrics. Like even if you don't care for your face ending up in any number of databses freely purchaseable to anyone you only have the one. If that gets compromised everything downstream of it being your security is right the fuck out. Most fingerprint sensors don't even check for other biometrics such as "does this have a pulse or somewhat appropiate heat for a human body".

    I am fully aware at least half of the reason to do this is to build a database for natsec pervert reasons

  • I don't think they make Schwalbe Marathons (sorry forgot to include that) or Gatorskins in tubeless but they're just real heavy duty with pneumatic tubes, nigh unkillable.

    That said, if your problem is blowouts on a roadbike due to a pothole I'm guessing that's a snakebite which the above mentioned would provide some protection on because they're heavy and wire-reinforced as hell but doesn't really solve your problem.

    If pothole-on-a-roadbike is your concern I would suggest looking into tubeless. Airless tyres have fucking garbo comfort and rolling resistance according to every review I've ever read while tubeless doesn't and if you hit a pothole so hard your tubeless tyre pops out of the bead enough to be broken your main concern'd probably be not dying rather than the tyre

  • I can't speak to this one specifically but unless you try to MTB a mountain of broken glass I think Schwalbes or Gatorskins'd do you plenty fine. There's a reason airless tyres on a bicycle never really gotten anywhere so far and it's because they suck hella ass according to everybody who tried them
