  • I mean in STS2, you can just get fucked from the seed. It's a roguelite though, not a roguelike. I get the whole, "unlock the full game" thing, but it doesn't mean I don't enjoy a subsection of it and would like an option to play that. Some things you unlock are just worse or so extremely niche that you'd never really use them anyway, they are just there to stop you getting the stronger stuff more often.

  • Sometimes you want a specific build as you are learning, but now you unlock some new thing that has no synergy with anything else or has some niche use and it's diluted the pool making it harder to build what you wanted.

I'd prefer games like this have toggles or some other mechanic that can allow upgrades without making the game harder. Slay The Spire is a good example, I love the game, but I'd rather not unlock some stuff. Or Gunfire Reborn, you have to roll stats on weapons, but then you unlock more weapons, so now you have a harder time finding the gun you want, let alone one with good stats on. Bad design imho.

  • Roguelites dont even make sense, I "progress" but now I have diluted my item/card/gun/whatever pool?? Upgrades should be upgrades, not new things imo.

  • Consumers are unfortunately, just that fucking stupid.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

  • Surprise, surprise, a paid product with salaried developers has more features than a volunteer project!

More people using Jellyfin, more people who will contribute, through code or donations. It's worth a downside to swap over.

  • AI reliance makes worse programmers. AI makes people dumber and less skilled. While it might not matter for someone like yourself, it matters to the future.

  • Never even heard of most of these lmao

  • Yea, I see why they have done it, its a good move! But I still want an insane high end headset :D

  • I thought that is what it was going to be, both tracking options in a next-level headset!

  • Yea, its a good alternative, albeit more expensive, to Meta's Quest devices. I'll pick one up, but I do want to see Valve target the high-end again and push the VR space like they did with the Index.

  • Yeah, dont get me wrong, its nice to see another device in the inside-out space (to avoid fucking Meta), but I think its going to be too expensive to compete with Meta on the main stage.

But I would also have liked to see a takeover of the high end again, to see Valve push the limits.

  • This is more of a side-grade. I was hoping for an actual Index 2.

  • It should be a rare justification, but it's becoming increasily more common.

Why does every game need to call home? They dont and people have a right to protest that.

I personally wont buy the game or pirate it until changes are made. I can live without it.

  • They are salaried anyway, they should be happy if people are enjoying what they created, pirated or not.

Maybe if they didnt have such weird data farming people would be more willing to pay for it. They basically justified all of the Krafton worries people had (outside of firing the devs).

  • Yea. A singleplayer/coop game doesnt need preorder cosmetics. Thats also ridiculous.

A dev was commenting on pirating. How are they are oblivious to why people would want to pirate when the first thing you get hit with when you open the game is a bullshit EULA?

  • If they want analytics, it should be an opt-in.

Man gaming is in a sorry fucking state.

It shouldn't be calling home at all. And why the fuck does any game like this need anti-cheat?!

Eh, whatever, it's UE5 underperforming shit anyway. Sorry to the developers who spent time on this, I guess management fucked it for you. I don't know how much was Krafton or just some out of touch managers, but man does it suck.

  • You mean walking simulator?
