  • He was probably exaggerating, while Hong Kong central is pretty built up, there are a lot of areas without any buildings, and even national parks large enough to get lost in (for a few hours at least).

  • I don't think that's necessarily a bad idea. Too many people are still not backing up their data, and the article says "...automatically save to OneDrive or your preferred cloud destination".

    As long as they really give users full freedom to choose any cloud service, I consider that a win.

    He either didn't get sick (and fulfilled the contract as intended) or went to work sick (in violation of health and safety requirements).

    I still don't see how that demands praise.

    Receiving a salary doesn't mean a clergyman can run around drunk and stoned, there are other guidelines to follow that aren't publicly available.

    He did what he was paid for, no more, no less. Being sick or not is by and large outside of someone's immediate control and should receive neither reward nor punishment.

  • LOL. Chinese phones are way worse, they simply block installations of "unsanctioned" apps with no workaround.

    My wife is Chinese and I used to live there for 7 years, it's an absolute privacy nightmare.

  • Most developers who publish on third party stores push all updates at the same time, then it really depends who's quicker in the approval process.

    If the dev is on github, that might be the fastest (below the overview section under 'assets').
