  • Given the engineering differences, which title or application does a 1080 Ti beat 4060, and under what circumstance?

  • When any of the next series of GPU's are released in 9 to 12 months, you definitely should buy a new GPU, considering the 4060 beats the 1080 Ti in everything.

  • Ok, whatever, if you say so

  • How does the number of users online mean anything at all? Why would people care how many are currently online for Steam?

  • I'm in full blanket agreement you. Everything you said, I strongly support you.

The problem is not simple capitalism, because capitalism is how we have grocery store variety and clothes to buy. Gaming as been messed up due to all this IPO junk, shareholders, equity companies, I'm fully with you without exception.

  • I'm not sure if you are saying that the stock market has destroyed quality gaming, due to corporations constantly trying to cash in from obligations to stockholders, but that's my position. The crass consumerism that have an unfillable hole that is in perpetual persuit of the next new game release. I blame the lack of quality individuals in society, how hollow people are that people have nothing interesting happening in life so their life revolves around the internet and blah blah blah online, rather than focusing on building a life outside without getting everything through a screen. Corporations have exploited how empty day to day people are.

  • What goes wrong with a person for them to get cheat software because they are so determined to win rather than either practice and develop their skill or accept the fact that they don't have what it takes to win a specific game, and be comfortable with the possibility that game is not for them? The second someone attempts to cheat or hack in a video game, they have immediately proven themself to be a complete loser.

  • Kids must be the first priority, all day everyday. Games come when you have the time, and if you're not able to play for 3 weeks, that's how life goes as a good parent.

  • I have nothing to say about people who go out to places together sometimes also playing together in a game occassion, all fine and well.

Multiplayer with random whoever happens to be online at the time, that's the stuff I call entirely useless and pointless.

Every and all people who can play games for a consistent 12 to 18 only have a screwed future ahead of them. 3 to 4 hours of games can be a great time, 18 straight hours of gaming, that person has emotional problems.

Would you agree that games are simple entertainment, not a goal in life, to one day get good a specific game for multiplayer?

  • As an exclusive campaign single player, I say every and all multiplayer is trash garbage. Games are strictly entertainment for something to enjoy. Winning is irrelevent, the experience is what's important.

I only buy games that have a story campaign with replay value and I refuse to do any online multiplayer. I don't feel better for beating other people, it's nothing more than a game. People are not interested in how many times someone else wins at video games, it's only a hobby. People who cheat in games are losers who have nothing outside, going out with friends to enjoy.

  • The only way to have total privacy is no internet and no phone.

The ones who rant the loudest about priavy are always people who don't have the technical skills to configure a network to fully know how it all works. It actually is possible to have a setup that has so much privacy it is either unusable, or it show a level of grandiose narcissism. What people can do is a lot of little things, and accept what can never be change.

As a starting point, if a person wants to have extremely strict priacy, use GrapheneOS and in F-Droid settings turn off all of the anti-features so no apps are listed with any anti-features. Do not use cell service, and yes that means no data for going out, use a web-based VoIP. On computer/laptop, install OpenBSD, and build a router to run a OpenBSD firewall. All of those steps will instantly have a massive impact on protecting privacy and will have a lot more real world skills to utilize.

  • I would suggest the Aorus Master board for long term UEFI updates for future CPU releases.

  • Does XMPP with OMEMO give you what you are looking for, or am I misunderstanding?

  • The whole Simple apps suite should be removed because they are never going to get another update again in the F-Droid repository.

  • If you care about future CPU releases in several years, spend as much money as you can on an X670 board. I'm not convinced that the best B650 board can support in 4 years a 16 core processor with future designs, cooling requirements, and provide enough power.

Seeing that Ryzen 8000 is laptop, so the next one will be 9000, if you want a Ryzen 9 10000 or 11000, get something like the most expensive Gigabyte X670 you can buy for future CPU designs.

Buying Radeon 7000 is fine, you can upgrade that in a couple of years and it's only a 10 minute job to change GPU and run DDU in safe mode.

  • Thank you for the generosity, that's wonderful of you to do. There's no games of interest to me on that list, but thank you for doing that for others.

  • Do whichever one or 2 you can afford but upgrade to a 5700x, add an SSD, and 32GB for extra breathing room for Windows

  • All social media has a heavy censorship with people getting deleted for saying the wrong views or hurt feelings, it's only a question of how much you will self sencor before being banned.

Accounts being banned have nothing to do with behaviour, look at the list of subjects and lifestyles a user is not allowed to criticize.

  • Given how the quality of new releases and zero new games being worth the price, I have not bought a new release in over 10 years, maybe 12 years. I can't justify the price vs. what companies have been putting out.
