From the amount of power he wields you would think he is some evil genius. But it seems he is more a psychopathic idiot. I say idiot because of the religious thing and also because he works on the destruction of the same liberal democracy that he benefits from.
As time passed, and History got devalued as a subject in favour of technology subjects, I guess it was always inevitable that people would lose awareness of what Fascism is, and why it should not be allowed to return.

I think the aim is that public institutions like the CBC should be supporting open platforms or creating and using their own ones, instead of being dependent on, and promoting a fascist owned US one. Getting it via Flipboard doesn't help with that. If I was Canadian I'd be angry that my taxpayer or license money promotes X.
Don't count on the police not doing their job here. I think they might well do it, and if they do and evidence of this accusation is found, this asshole's fall may well continue all the way to prison
One consequence of Russia invading Ukraine is that Finland and Sweden joined Nato. Finland has a 1,340 km border with Russia, so Putin has not created a "bigger buffer" - he has managed to double Russia's border with Nato.
Also, the countries you label as unfriendly are peaceful countries who are only 'unfriendly' to Russia because they worry about Russian imperialist expansion, and Russia's aggression habit.
