Well, if your reason was "I use Apple because I don't like Google" then yes. Better work with the real deal than a limited piece of crap that won't allow you to install adblockers and adblocked apps.
If you like the Apple interface and ecosystem better then there's no hope for you.
I can think a couple of uses like working on my motorcycle with the service manual floating above it, and getting reference pictures or line art to trace while drawing. In the future maybe having AR features to learn playing guitar or drums. All niche cases, and certainly not worth 3500 for it.
How does it work better for you? To me it's annoying, I cannot easily move folders around anymore, nor move playlists into folders if I'm not using the desktop app.
Also, the + (former ♥️ button) is the worst offender to me. I used to use the button to add a music to my big "liked" default list, the one that is more permanent, and the three dots to add it to a playlist, which are more fluid. So playlists come and go, and not every song on a playlist is the one i want on my definitive pool of "always wanted" songs.
Then someone at Spotify decided to say "fuck you users", and merged the + and three dots, making it harder to know if a song is already in my main "liked" list.
Say I have a playlist I created, the + button is now a ✅ button. It tells me the song is saved somewhere. I have to tap it to see where, which 1. is completely unintuitive, because tapping a check button would create me the expectation of uncheking it, but it instead shows me a list of playlists! What in the freaking hell? This is decades of UI convention thrown out the windows for a really bad concept.
And 2, being checked doesn't mean it's my favorite song, just that it is saved on some playlist. It's a mistery, which is only solved by tapping the schizophrenic +/✅ button, instead of simply saying to me "yep, you liked this song".
Please clarify it to me because I read this debacle as Apple blackmailing developers HARD into not talking bad things about the company. I get they're evil and petty but I'm having a hard time to believe they're this childish and stupid, specially with the DMA knocking at their doors.
There’s many communities I miss, but without third party apps that place became unbearable. The equivalent ones are not as active, but i can actually read and participate in discussions here.
"I mean, the three people still playing it are reeeealy playing it, you know? They engaged in our game like no other! Record player engagement everybody!"
Since we're talking about hot takes, here's mine. The Nazis are the most reviled because Hitler did the "unthinkable": he tried to colonize the colonizers by claiming to be whiter than the whites. So, the atrocities committed by nazis are somehow way more inexcusable than the ones committed by the British over "brown people". They ran concentration camps too, but since the victims were black, people doesn't seem too bothered by it.
And don't get me started about slavery, where people were grabbed and treated like animals, packed in ships as packages, and forced to work in their own concentration camps for the white guys.
What the Nazis did was horrible, but let's not pretend they're the only evil ones. Israel is just as bad, the difference being they're doing it over brown people which makes it somehow more acceptable on the eyes of the world.
Courage. Magic. We think you gonna love it.
