  • Godot is great for game development AFAIK. However, my son wants to use the software for more than just gaming. It's something that we'd consider and thank you for responding.

    EDIT: My son just told me that he would use said software primarily for gaming. So, you may have just given us the solution with the Godot recommendation. Thanks again!

  • You can set firefox to automatically open all links in a new tab if it’s that important.

    I believe you are referring to the following setting in Firefox preferences:

    Open links in tabs instead of new windows

    I have this checked and it doesn't work (i.e. doesn't open links in new tabs).

  • Intel’s integrated graphics, and AMD’s APUs have gotten powerful enough that I have not used a dedicated GPU since ~2017.

  • Using Lemmy on a smart phone with a browser should work fine since the site is built to be responsive. However, having a native Lemmy application for Android and iOS could provide opportunities for further feature development that isn’t included with the browser version. That is why I believe it is a good idea to keep these apps going.
